show in which women modeled cotton dresses they had
made in workshop held last winter
Mrs. Rillin Jones, Medford,
chairman of the county ex
tension committee, presided,
and Miss Marilou Garner, ex
tension agent, was commenta
tor for the style show.
Th afternoon closed with

members were elected during
a business meeting. Mrs. Le
land Charley, Lake Creek,

"Desire is the key to learn
ing," Miss Funk told the wo
men during a brief talk. She
said that every person has the
same amount of time 24
hours in every day ' and
that everyone has the same
three commodities to spend
time, energy and money. She
added that money - will buy
only food, but not appetite,
that it will buy medicine, but
not health, and may bring
joy but not peace of mind.
"Time is more important than
money," said the speaker and
explained that the happiest
people are those who give
themselves to something that
lives on when they are no
longer living.
Eighty-eight women mod
eled clothing in the show. The
dresses made in the workshop
had to meet four require
ments; each must have set-in
sleeves, have a seam at the
waistline, have a collar and
buttons and button holes.
The Frock Follies closed on
a humorous note. Miss Lucy
modeled a 1929 black chemise
dress and Mrs. John David
son, Eagle Point, wore a
"sack" dress made from a
gunny sack labeled with "Rat
Poison."
