to work on copy. The book is published in the fall.

Miss Martha Bbshears, faculty sponsor for the class of 1958, held one last conference with class officers before
graduation. Louise Pendleton (at left), class secretary, will study dental nursing and Jean Bonney, treasurer, will
enroll in teacher education next fall. Richard Evans (at top), class president, won the outstanding music student
award, was vofed "student of spirit" and is entering Wheaton college in Illinois on a scholarship to study music
education. Lee Gossett (at right) was vice-president of the class. Miss Boshears said class of 1958 "has been a good
class" and had particular praise for the officers, saying their leadership and citizenship had heen outstanding.

Carolyn Edwards and Carol Johnston. Miss Edwards, who plans to enter Southern Oregon college where she was granted
a tuition scholarship, was given honorable mention under the outstanding music student award. Miss Johnston plans to
enter nursing school.
Before rehearsal for graduation, senior girls helped one another don the tradtiional caps end im vera for the com
mencement ceremony. Pictured (left to right) are Helen Hood, Jessie Willard, Gail Collins, Anite Ten dr WIlen, Sandra
Guss, Carolyn Edwards and Gwen Logan. Miss Guss, co-editor of the Crater Comments, was named Girl of the Year by
Girls' league and outstanding senior girl by classmates. Miss Collins plans to enter Lewis and Clark collage) and Miss von
der Hellen will enroll at Southern Oregon college.

Three members of the graduating class of Crater High school traditionally give commencement addresses. Chosen this
year were (left- to right) John Foley, David Mack and Jean Bonney. Young Foley, who plans to study mathematics in
college, spoke on "Individuals or Parasites," David Mack's topic was "The Sixth Column" and Miss Bonney spoke on
"A Road to Follow." Miss Bonney won the Girls' league scholarship this year.
Grouped around the "Senior Flagpole" at Crater High school are (standing, left to right) Tom Nix, Linda Warren, Joan
Dobrot and Joycelin (always called Jocky) Cameron; seated are (left to right) Jon Frederick and Allan Kimmey. Young
Nix will enter Oregon Technical institute; Miss Warren, co-editor of Constellation, will enter SOC and Miss Dobrot, who
won Oregon Chemical society award, plans to do research in chemistry. Miss ameron won
Teachers of District 6, will also study at SOC. Jon Frederick will study physics at New Mexico ana coi.ege una
