9 MAIL TRIBUNE, MedforJ, Oregon, Sunday, May 25, 1958 K' A BISHOP DAGWELL To Address Diocese Warrelmanns Plan To Move fo Carmel Major General and Mrs. Henry Warrelmann, former Medford residents, are here this weekend from their home in Carmel, Calif., completing negotiations for transfer of their Medford residence prop erty, which was sold recently. Maj. Gen. Warrelmann is instructor of German at the U. S. Army's Language school in Monterey. The couple moved to Cali fornia last November, after the general accepted the teach ing position. In , Medford, he worked as a carpenter at the Cascade Woods Products com pany. Warrelmann served as a Episcopal Bishop To Address Diocese The congregation of St. Mark's Episcopal church, Med ford. will participate in a diocesan-wide observance to bid farewell to the Right Rev. Benjamin D. Dagwell, D.D., bishop of Oregon. Wednesday, May 23. Bishop Dagwell plans to retire in August after 22 years as bishop. The bishop will address people of the diocese from St. Stephens cathedral, Portland, at 7:30 p.m. and will be re ceived by closed radio hook up in 55 separate areas of the state. The Medford congregation will meet for a potluck dinner at the Guild hall at 6:30 p.m. that evening. Members and friends of the church who plan to attend the dinner are asked to contact Mrs. Earl Tumy, SPring 2-2620 or Mrs. H. C. Goldsmith, SPring 2-2519, regarding the food they are to take, if they have not already been contacted by the committee. Baby sitting service will be available in the Markade for young children. Julia Hanson, Chris tine Knudsen, Jill Morrison and Pat Wood. In journalism, the Eric Al len awards went to Gloria Quackenbush and Charmain Tipsword; Oregon scholastic press, Allen King, Elizabeth King; annual awards, La Vonne Whillock, Pat Wood, David Spangler, Delores Mey er, Lois Gage, Doris Bench; George S. MILKbroducerS 7 f league Budget Election Set at Ashland Ashland Ashland school district will hold its annual budget election Tuesday, May 27, with polls to be open at the Junior High school gym nasium from 2 to 8 p.m. The budget, totaling $1,002, 377.83, requires a levy in ex cess of the six per cent limita tion in the amount of $446, 398.99. Of the total amount, $56, 717.50 is for bond interest and retirement and the bal ance, $945,660.33 is for the operation of the school sys tem, including one item of $90,000 for the construction Sharon Walker.
