French Harden
Tunisia Atlilude
Paris U"i Right-wing
members of the French cabi
net hardened their attitude
toward Tunisia today, anger
ed because they said Tunisian
President Habib Bourguiba
had been "too stubborn" to
reach a settlement of the dis
pute with France.
Premier Felix Gaillard call
ed an emergency cabinet
meeting today. The right
wing group demanded a full
hearing in the United Nations
of French charges Tunisia has
aided Algerian rebels.
There was a possibility
Gaillard and Foreign Minister
Christian Pineau would seek
cabinet backing for an 11th
hour attempt to revive the
stalemated Anglo - American
good offices mission.

For Good View
Of Pear Blossoms
Pear trees in the Medford
district are in beautiful full
bloom today, County Horti
cultural Agent Clifford Cordy
said this morning comment
ing on one of the highlights
of the Pear Blossom Festival
this week endv
Cordy outlined two routes
which may be taken by those
wishing to see the snowy-
white blossom " clusters. One
route, and the longer of the
two, takes blossom viewers
out the Jacksonville highway
to Jacksonville, left then, fol-
l r. 4 1 i i i
.lowing souw ssiage ra.,. stay
ing west of railroad tracks
until reaching Talent. Then,
across the railroad tracks and
south on Highway 99 for a
block, then head east again,
across Bear creek and turn
left. It continues north, east
of Bear creek. Then, to town
by way of the Hillcrest orch
ords and East Main st. in Med
ford. Cordy outlined a shorter
drive which would also pro
vide good views of the blossom-clad
orchards but would
require less travelling time.
It goes out East main st. to
the Hillcrest orchards, then
north again along Highline rd.
to the end. Upon reaching the
end of the road it turns left
and back to Medford by way
of Crater Lake highway.
Beautiful panoramic views
are provided near Talent and
north of the Hillcrest
orchards, Cordy says.
