I am having a very difficult time with my jealous husband. This may sound silly when I state our ages 57 and 58. Neverthe less it's a fact. My husband is jealous about the time I Bpend with our children! We have four married chil dren and five grandchildren. Naturally I am kept busy, see ing them all and baby-sitting. , It is the greatest pleasure of my life. But of course I don't love my husband any less for that. I am always home for dinner and ready to go places with him. My husband calls home sev eral times a day and is fu rious if he doesn't get me in. He resents it when I talk about our grandchildren and takes very little interest in them. Hubtrx F. I love our grandchildren just as well as my wife does but I can't see making a career out of it. Kids are just kids, cute and all of that, but what's the big deal about? I had looked forward to this time of our lives to en joy things together. I am in the lucky position where can arrange my working hours to suit myself. Some times I feel like taking an afternoon off. But can I en joy it with my wife? No! Clara points out that she is always home for dinner, but it looks to me as though this is just a matter of duty with her. Often she has admitted she is too tired at the end of ' the day even to talk. When she does talk, it's all just the kids and the kids. I'm fed up The Council In our opinion Clara may be doing wrong in more ways than one Her excitement over her grandchildren is understand able, yet it is possible that her children could do with a little less of her time and at tention. Their children are their responsibility and they should not be encouraged to be dependent upon an always available, free baby-sitter. Clara is wronging herself as well. After a lifetime of child-rearing, she has a right to expand her horizons. Many interesting experiences and activities are passing her by while she relieves her own JKJIU. 111. vJllC van iiw vy moi - v live for herself. We have a notion that Clara is somewhat flattered by her husband's jealousy and pos sibly promotes it by persist ing in doing what she knows is annoying to him. Her pleas ure in being so sought after is understandable, but she should recognize that her hus band has been made genuine ly unhappy by this situation.
