ACCURACY The Final Say Ask 10 married couples what the best part of marriage is, and you'll get 20 answers. Some say it's love and companionship; others, the satisfaction of family life. A hard core, however, holds out for that one supreme moment in matrimony that exhilarating climax to a marital discussion when you get in the last word. To exponents of the final say, Reamer Keller dedi cates these cartoons, knowing full well that before the page is turned, he'll be squelched himself. "I don't care what the doctor said! You're not suffering from any re pressed animosity!" "Well, if I say it's a big improvement, that's wrong, and if I say it's no improvement, that's wrong!" "I'm the only woman in our crowd who has to ask before she buys a yacht!" l' "Who spilled ashes in this ash tray?" "Is it all right if I stick 'em up. dear?" Family Weekly, January 19, 195S 29 1 MARGUERITE CARTER in PROPHECY. . . PROPHECY has never proven itself as now! The situations and conditions in which we are living today were foretold accurately many centuries ago. Over twelve years ago Marguerite Carter, who for many years has studied planetary influences and their effect upon the lives of indi viduals and nations, said: "Our eyes will be on the Holy Land for a long time to come." In August of 1956 when news items and editorials of major papers were proclaiming the situation in the Middle East as most promising, Miss Carter said: "War of short duration will flare there.'' The November 1st, 1956 headlines bore this out. Leading businessmen and economic authorities are now beginning to express the same ideas concerning the monetary situation which Miss Carter prophesied in midsummer of 1956. She said then: ". . . it will be well for most of us to remember that sources of income might be such as to make it wise to have cash through 1958 and 1959." She also believes that in spite of all the talk of economy, the administration will do an "about face" and spend extensively. To you who are SKEPTICS Marguerite Carter says: "1 believe that regardless of what men in high position are saying, PEACE JUST NOW IS IMPOSSIBLE." In the summer of 1957 she wrote: "The Communistic regime in Russia, beginning in 1958, may face the most critical period in its history. . . . For the next several years, Russia is apt to undergo great inner strain and turbulence, commanding world attention, with shifting patterns of power and NEW MEN CONSTANTLY RISING TO POWER; THEN BEING REPLACED. . . . Painful cracks in the authoritarian pattern of Communism will become apparent throughout the world." As for the home front, in the summer of 1957 Miss Carter wrote: "The free enterprise system in America, momentarily in the free flow of money, seems likely to experience some sharp setbacks. Despite these setbacks I believe the United States will enter upon a new 'Golden Age' during 1962. Rising interest rates and discouraging aspects of tight money will sharply curtail expansion pro grams of major businesses. However, American industry is in an era of domestic and international expansion that may surpass even the period of industrial development that followed the Civil War' You will be amazed at MISS CARTER'S ABILITY TO DESCRIBE ACCURATELY YOUR YEAR AHEAD!
