'IP A United Nations investigat ing committee, has recom mended that U.lN. political of ficer Povl Bang-Jensen burn the secret list of Hungarian revolt witnesses which he re fuses to surrender. The committee said the Danish official refused to give it the list just as he earlier refused to turn it over to the United Nations. He based his refusal on the contention it might fall into the hands of Communists and lead to re prisals against the witnesses or their families in Hungary. The investigators .said they were convinced the paper have no further use because their "validity has been im paired if not destroyed by his manner of dealing with them." (International) Los Angeles Man Appears In Court Joe Glaszko, 27, of Los Angeles, Calif., pleaded guilty to charges of being a fugitive from justice in district court Wednesday and was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail by District Court Judge James M. Main. Glaszko. who was arrested by Medford police Jan. 10, on a disorderly conduct charge, was found to be want ed by Calif oi nia authorities on a non-support charge. The sentence was suspend ed when he was returned to California by a member of the Los Angeles police department. . Diseases Will Be Discussed by Panel Communicable diseases of special interest will be fea tured on the public health program Saturday, Jan. 18, at 5:30 p.m. on KBES-TV. Diseases discussed will in clude hepatitis, meningitis, venereal diseases, tularemia, or rabbit fever, psittacosis or parrot fever, rabies, tetanus and undulant fever. Mrs. Bereth Hopkins, Jackson county clerk, has an nounced. Applications will be accepted until Jan. 30. Appointments will be made for two years ending Dec. 31, 1959. Boards in Jackson county will have four mem bers, Mrs. Hopkins noted. Consultations will be held with former election board chairmen, she said, and recommendations may be made by political party cen tral committee chairmen. Law requires that not all members of the board shall be of the same political party. Recommendations will be given due consideration, Mrs. Hopkins said, but will not necessarily determine who will be appointed.
