Quigley are making their home at 2742 Roberts road, Medford, following their wed ding Thursday, December 26 in Reno, Nevada. , The bride is the former Agnes Moorhead, Roberts read. The bridegroom is em ployed by True Mix Concrete company and formerly lived at 606 West Clark street. William R. Beemer of ficiated at the ten o'clock evening ceremony held at the Chamber of Commerce. For her wedding the bride wore a champagne colored faille frock with matching ac cessories. Announce Trothal Of Californians Hilts Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith, Hilts, Calif, announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheryl Gay Smith, to James Albert Young, son of Albert Young, Etna, Calif. Miss Smith is a graduate of Yreka High school and is at tending Chico State college. Mr. Young is a graduate of Etna High school and is at tending University of Calif ornia at Davis. March of Dimes Dance Planned A March of Dimes "Bucket of Bucks" square dance will be held at the Square Corral at Camp White between 8:30 and 11 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. T M Ceremony In Oakland Weds Couple A wedding of interest here was held Saturday, December 28, at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Oakland, Calif., when Miss" Loretta Marian Michaels became the bride of Forest Allen Van Vleck Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest A. Van Vleck, 1618 East Jack son avenue, Medford. The bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George D. Michaels, Oak land. The Rev. John Cosgrove of ficiated at the noon ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of tissue taffeta with lace bodice. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses encircling a white or chid. She wore heirloom pearls originally belonging to the maternal grandmother of the bridegroom. Miss Alanna Michaels was maid of honor for her sister while bridesmaids were Miss Elaine Miller and Miss Mary Ann Michaels, another sister. They wore royal blue satin sheath dresses with matching velvet headpieces, and car ried bouquets of light and dark pink carnations and dark blue forget-me-nots. Richard Van Vleck served as best man for his brother while Harry Michaels, San Jose, and Alex Revaz Jr., Placerville, Calif., seated the guests. Monroe Kanouse, fraternity brother of the bridegroom, was soloist. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Michaels wore a blue gray brocaded satin sheath with light blue satin hat and matching accessories. Her corsage was of baby red roses. Mrs. Van Vleck chose a medium blue silk suit dress with white accessories and a corsage of white butterfly or chids. Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The newlyweds are making their home in San Francisco following a wedding trip to northern California. The bride is a graduate of the Univer sity of California at Berkeley where she was affiliated with Zeta Tau Alpha social soror ity. The bridegroom is also a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and is a member of Alpha Tau Om ega social fraternity. Be eler, 610 Whitman place, Med ford. Mr. Darland is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Darland Jr., 922 Park avenue, Med ford. Miss Beeler and Mr. Dar land are graduates of St. Mary's High school and are students at Southern Oregon college. A late summer wedding is planned by the couple. Fol lowing their marriage they plan to continues their college studies in southern California. Music Teacher Speaks for Group Miss Helen Robinson from the music department at Southern Oregon college spoke on the qualifications of students entering college mu sic training from private stu dios at the meeting of Rogue Valley Music Teachers assoc iation. The meeting was held January 6 at the home of Mrs. Rawles Moore. The group decided to spon sor a program for music tea chers who wish to present their pupils in recital. The event will be held in April at the college. Plans were made for a state syllabus and state audi tion examination to be held at Southern Oregon college in May. The next meeting of the group will be held at the home of Mrs. Edna Peterson, Ashland. Louis Clayson, tea cher at Southern Oregon col lege, will be guest soloist. Miss Clogston is a daughter of Frank H. Clog ston, Central Point, and granddaughter of Mrs. F. W. Clogston, 1840 Stage Road south, Medford, with whom she makes her home. Mr. Dun ford is a son of Mrs. Norman A. Dunford, Eagle Point, and the late Mr. Dunford. Miss Clogston, who is vice president of the sorority chap ter, made the announcement to sorority sisters during the j dinner hour. She presented i chapter members with clus ters of daisies with the cou ple's names attached, and the table centerpiece was of daisies with the words, "Dai sies Do Tell." The wedding is planned for next summer. Miss Clogston was graduated from Medford High school and will be a member of the 1958 Univer sity of Oregon graduating class. She is majoring in art education and is a member of Pi Lambda Theta, nation al honor society for women in education. Mr. Dunford was graduated from Eagle Point High school, has attended Oregon State college and is now enrolled in the School of Architecture of the University of Oregon. Student Receives Army Commission; Pair Visits Here Second Lt. and Mrs. Blake Maddox are guests in the home of Mr. Maddox's par ents. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Maddox, 340 South Grove land avenue. Prior to the couple's ar rival here for the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Maddox went to Eugene where they attend ed the graduation commis sioning ceremonies for their son at the University of Ore gon December 20. He rec eived his commission in the United State Army Reserve from Col. L. E. Wellendorf, professor of military science and tactics, and was graduated with a bachelor of business administration degree. Lieu tenant Maddox was design ated a "distinguished mili tary graduate" due to high military and academic achie vements. Lt. and Mrs. Maddox will leave Medford soon for- Ft. Sill, Okla., where the officer will report to Guided Missile school.
