Wednesday, January 8, 1958 MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE THREE FALSE TEETH That Loosen Need Not Embarrass Many wearers of false teeth have suffered real embarrassment because their plate dropped, slipped or wob bled at just the wrong time. Do not live In fear of this happening to you. Just sprinkle a little FASTEETH, the alkaline (non-acid) powder, on your plates. Hold false teeth more firmly, so they feel mors comfortable. Does not sour Checks "plate odor" (den ture breath). Get FASTEETH at any drug counter. Paula M. George has been terrible- since we've gotten married. George M. She no loneer cares about my happiness. Paula M. I was a widow with three children, ages 13, la and 18, when I met. and fell in love with a married man. He left his wife and we set up a home together be fore he was divorced. For the three years before he got a divorce, he was just wonderful, took an interest in the children and was a model husband. Then, when the divorce came through, we got married. Since then he has been just terrible. There are constant fights and he was abusive to the children. My eldest daughter got married, mainly to get out of the house. I still love George very much, in spite of the fact that I know he has been unfaith full. He never shows me any affection and I feel I can't go in this way. George M. Paula keeps nointins to the way I've changed since our marriage, but what about the way she has changed? Before we were married she tried to do everything to please me because she was afraid I'd get away from her. Now that she knows I'm hook ed she thinks only about her family her children, her mother and brothers and sist ers. She makes big dinners for them and invites them over, even though she knows I can't stand having them around. Paula accuses me of hav ing "other women," but the only one I've been seeing is my ex-wife. She has been so wonderful about the whole thing in spite of the raw deal I've given her. She is concern ed about my happiness even though we're divorced. The Council: No. George, it just won't do. You can't keep giving yourself away like a prize in a lottery to the woman who seems to want to do the most for you at any given moment. Don't forget that once she has won you, any woman is likely to put you on the shelf where she can admire you from time to time. You can't expect her to fight every moment once the prize is won. Right now, your ex-wife is the "other woman" whether you care to call her that or not. She shouldn't be caring about your happiness, and if she does, it can only mean she has decided to get back into the game of "catching George." At this rate, George, you are likely to shuttle back and fourth endlessly. Whoever fights the game hardest wins you. You are merely a pawn in a game. There's only one way to put an end to this. Stop being a pawn and decide to be a man. A man makes his own choice and sticks to it. He does his utmost to promote the happi ness of his mate. He tries to love or at least tolerate, those who are important to her. He has self-respect because he knows he is doing his best and that his efforts are appreci ated. Grow up, George! EXCITING ...IN GOOD TASTES Directors MEETJN& Does Your Family, Inc have an annual report? In some ways H certainly makes a lot of sense to look at your family as a business. For instance, businesses set aside money each year to meet their future needs. Your family should, too, because you'll have a lot of future needs . . . college educations for the children ... a new house ... a retirement fund. You might call the money you'll need for these things a reserve for future operating expenses. And you should start building that reserve right now. One of the best ways to do this is by regufar purchase of U. S. Savings Bonds. They're a safe, sure invest ment that'3 backed by the strength of the greatest nation on earth. Savings Bonds are absolutely Indestructible. If stolen, lost or destroyed -they'll be replaced without charge by the U. S. Treasury. And now they're better than ever. Every U. S, Series E Savings Bond purchased since February 1, 1957 pays 3 interest when held to maturity. It matures earlier, too in only 8 years and 11 months and pays higher Interest in the earlier years. So thi year look at your family's finances with a businessman's eye. And make it your New Year's Resolution to start building a fund for the future! by buymg Savings Bonds through the Payroli Savings Plan at work or regularly where you bank.
