KFeena-minfi IMI CHIWINO.GUM IAXAIIVI Pirate Puppet Here is how to make a pirate puppet. Make this figure after pasting it on a piece of cardboard. Make holes big enough to poke two fingers through. These make the pirate's legs and with them you can make the pirate walk, run, hop, or dance. You could cut out a picture in a magazine and make others like this. Edited by MARJORIE ARROWS. Editor of Tho Chlldroa't Hour BlinNy't Bunk by Nat Bradford It takes a lot of players to play this game. Try it in your schoolyard or at a party. The players stand with clasped hands in groups of fours. In the center of each circle (or bunk) stands a bunny. The one "It" is Bowser, the dog. One bunny is without a bunk. When Bowser chases him he tries to get into a bunk before he is tagged. If he gets in, the bunny already there must run out and be chased. If caught, the bunny becomes Bowser. The game keeps on until each player has had a chance to be bunny, Bowser, and the bunk. It's fun! WHAT BIRD IS IT? Rutho ixon Here is a tropical sea bird that is a pirate. He hides be hind, coconut trees in the evening when gulls, gannets, and terns come home bringing their fish. He grabs these birds by the tail and shakes the fish from their beaks. Then he gets the fish! This ten foot bird with his stout hooked beak, long wings, tiny legs, webbed feet, and bright-colored air sac (at mating time) builds his nest on the ground or on a high ledge. His sweet hearts cry, "Wow-wow-wow-wow!" when they come courting. His bones are so light he can float high in the sky for hours, and spiral, too. FREGATA AQUILE is his scientific name. What's his everyday one? Thirty-First Coloring CONTEST (October 13, 1957). SOLUTION: Woodchuck or groundhog. COLOR: Brownish-gray to almost black.
