Mayor Francis Berry of Libertyville, 111., proclaimed a "Kick Week" in which citizens were invited to complain about village services. On the first day of "Kick Week" the mayor left for a fishing trip to Canada. A letter intended for the director of intelligence of Pakistan was mistakenly addressed to "The Intelligent Officer." The letter came back marked, "The govern ment of Pakistan does not have an Intelligent Officer." A history teacher in Gra ham, N. C, got into hot water when he gave students a test with the question, "The Graham city council is largely composed of (A) Idiots; (B) Ignoramuses; (C) Ne'er-do-wells; (D) You call it, you got it." Henry Robeck was ac cepting congratulations on his election as mayor of Irondale, Colo., when officials discovered the voters also had decided to abolish the town and the office of mayor. Government officials in Rangoon, Burma, found docks and warehouses choked with more rice than the nation could use for years, so they traded it for cement from another country.
