Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Gueulette (Landis photo) Students Married in Afternoon Rites Among holiday weddings was that of Miss Ann Padg ham to Darrell Gueulette which took place December 28 at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry F. P a d g h a m, Springbrook road. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gueulette. Richmond, Calif. The double-ring service was held at four o clock in the afternoon, with the Rev. Thomas McCamant of First Congregational church, Med ford, officiating. Mr. Padg ham gave his daughter in marriage. The bride wore a ballerina length white lace gown and carried white orchids with r 1 1 . white carnations. The orchids were grown by her uncle, D. J. Bolton, Medford. Miss Patricia Rukovina attended the bride. Her gown was a pink velveteen sheath and her flowers were a pink or chid with pink carnations. ' William G. Padgham, Whit- tier, Calif., brother of the bride, was best man. About 20 relatives and close friends attended the ceremony, and 40 were pres ent for the reception which followed. Mrs. Bolton, the bride's aunt, cut the wedding cake, Mrs. William Christian- son, Richmond, Calif., aunt of the bridegroom, poured cof fee, and Mrs. Richard Padg ham, sister-in-law of the bride, served punch. The Richard Padghams came from Newport News, Va., for the wedding. Miss Frye is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Frye, North Bend, and is a sopho more in elementary education at the college. Mr. Foust is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Foust. Experiment station road, Medford. He is a grad uate of Medford High school and is a sophomore at the college majoring in second ary education. No date has been set for the wedding. Guches-Schultz Ceremony Held; Couple Honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Guches are making their home at 107 West Fifth street, Jackson ville, following their wedding Saturday, December 14, in Park Wedding chapel, Reno, Nevada. Mrs. Guches is the former Miss Shirley Ann Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie T. Schultz, Jackson ville. Mr. Guches is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Guches, 315 Bellinger lane, Medford. The Rev. Gareth Hughes officiated at the afternoon ceremony. 'Tor her wedding the bride wore a multicolored tweed suit with white accessories. Following their return here the couple were honored at a reception at the home of the bridegroom's parents. Mrs. Clarence Webber, Klamath Falls, cut and served the wed ding cake baked by Mrs. Alan Guches, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. More than 20 relatives and friends of the couple attended. The bride is a graduate of Jacksonville High school. The bridegroom also attended that school and is employed by Kadee Metal Products, Med ford. . mums decorated the Padg ham home. Mr. Gueulette and his bride traveled to San Francisco for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a gray wool dress with black accessories. They will live in Davis, Calif. The bride, a graduate of Medford High school, is a student at the University of California at Davis, and the bridegroom, is a student in the School of Veterinary Medicine at Davis. ' Darby, 43 North Peach street, Medford, be came the bride of Charles Louis Houston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Houston 1014 Maple Park drive, in a cere mony held Monday, Decemb er 23, at seven o'clock in the evening at the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Glenn S. Wade of Berean Baptist church, Camp White, officiated at the double ring ceremony attended by 30 relatives and friends. Mrs. Fred Phillips, aunt of the bride, played the traditional wedding music. Evergreen trees and boughs and holly decorated the home for the ceremony. For her wedding the bride wore a white two piece frock with short veil held by a small lace head piece. She carried a bouquet of white carnations. Miss Karen Houston, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride. She wore a tur quoise colored dress with pink carnations. Donald Raymond Kezer served as best man. Following the wedding a reception was held. Mrs. Lou is Corwin, aunt of the bride groom, cut and served the wedding cake baked by Miss June Phillips, aunt of,, the bride, Miss Dorothy Lemings poured the punch and Miss Edith Clark was in charge of the guest book. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Darby wore a two-piece gray dress. Mrs. Houston chose a navy blue suit. They both had pink carnation cor sages. Following the wedding the couple left for a short trip to the coast. The bridegroom at tended Medford High school and is serving with the United States Air Force in San An tonio, Texas. The bride is currently making her home in Medford and attending high school. She plans to join her husband when he is assigned to a permanent duty station. Miss Zeis is the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Donald Zeis, now of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Mr. Garrett's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lawrence Gar rett, Denver. The couple plans a mid summer wedding. Miss Zeis attended Med ford High school and was graduated from the Univer sity of Colorado in 1957. She is a member of Zeta Tau Al pha sorority, and served as president of her college chap ter. She is now on the facul ty of Cherry , Creek High school in Denver. Mr. Garrett was graduated from Princeton university in 1955. He was a member of Dial Lodge social club. He is now a senior at the Univer sity of Colprado school of law and is president of the Stu dent Bar association. Upon graduation he will receive a commission in the United States Marine corps. Before leaving Medford, the Zeis family lived on Flor ence street. Mistletoe club will meet for the installation of officers Wednesday, January 8, at 12:30 p.m. at the Girls Com munity club. A dessert will be served. ICouIson-Roberts Service Read At Friends Church Central Point Alice M. Roberts, 345 West Pine street, Central Point, and E. Worth Coulson, Scotts Mills, Ore gon were married in a simple single-ring ceremony at Med ford Friends church Saturday, December 21, at 12:30 p.m. Clynton Crisman, pastor of the church, performed, the cere mony before a small group of relatives and close friends. Mrs. Kenneth Boshears, or ganist, played before the cere mony and 'accompanied Mrs. Clynton Crisman and Deane Roberts who sang. Frank Roberts and Law rence Roberts served as ush ers. Miss Joyce Roberts was in charge of the guest book.- The bride wore a caramel brown dressmaker suit with pink accessories and a cor sage of a pink orchid and pink carnations. The church was decorated with . lavender chrysanthemums. . Following the wedding ceremony, the bride and bride groom entertained at a dinner at the Rogue room of the Med ford Hotel. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Deane G. Roberts, Joyce, Frank and Shirley; Dr. and Mrs. Wayne E. Roberts, Anderea, Cynthia and Craig; Dr. and Mrs. Alvin Roberts, Lawrence, Judith and Phy llis: Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Gos sard, and Mr. and Mrs. Cris man and Rita. The couple left for a trip north to spend the holidays with Mr. Coulson's family in Scotts Mills. Later this month they will be at home at 345 West Pine street, Central Point. 4 Member Receives Star Appointment Jacksonville Mrs. Orval L. Shores, junior past matron, Adarel chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Jacksonville, has been appointed grand rep resentative of Illinois in Ore gon by Mrs. Richard Hibberd, Imbler, worthy grand matron of the grand chapter of Ore gon, Order of the Eastern Star. The appointment was an nounced by an honored guest, Miss Carlotta K. Wiseman, Grants Pass, senior past grand matron of Oregon, at the Thursday evening meeting of the Jacksonville chapter.
