PICTURE OF POLITENESS Mannerly Ste ven Frentzel, 4, of Benson, Minn., returns the Indonesia On Imposing Political Editor's note: The following dis patch is based on an exclusive inter view with President Sukarno of Indo nesia. It was obtained in the form of written replies to cabled questions. Sukarno, who is scheduled to leave his country for a rest soon, was one of the founders of the young nation. In the interview he spells out Indo nesia's position between East and West and gives its views on the dispute with The Netherlands over West New Guinea. By ROBERT UDICK United Press Correspondent Jakarta, Indonesia (IP) President Sukarno of Indonesia has warned the West that it will be cut off from the "ma jority of mankind" unless it stops trying to impose its politi cal formulas in other areas of the world. The veteran Asian nationalist also cautioned against putting a Communist tag on "every devi ation from Western thoughts in Asia." Sukarno, who is scheduled to leave the country soon for a rest, made his statements Sun day in written replies to cabled questions from United Press at a time when his country is em broiled .in a diplomatic battle with The Netherlands. He was asked specifically of a recent allegation by a London newspaper that Indonesia is heading for a Communist regime dependent upon Chino and Rus sia. Refuses Comment "I am rather reluctant to com ment on such an allegation . . . since it seems to me to become rather a hobby for some quar ters to accuse a country or peo ple of being Communists if their views on political or economic affairs do not coincide with the West's," he said. He noted that Indonesia was one of the last countries to es tablish diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union and conducts relatively little trade with Rus sia or Communist China com- TOO LATE TO CLASSIFY FOR RENT 2 bdrm. house. He said development of polit Boys Fail in To Launch Austin, Minn. HP) The Aus tin Rocket Society and the U.S. Navy had something in common today. Both flopped in an effort to launch a high - publicized rocket. The society, composed of 11 teen-aged boys and coached by a Roman Catholic nun, sought to fire a mile-high rocket Sunday containing a white mouse named "Ulysses." All But Rocket Ready Ulysses was ready and 50 per sons huddling in sub-zero tem peratures to watch the launch ing were ready, but the rocket, dubbed the "Mousenik," wasn't ready. ' It simply refused to budge from its-launching pad. To begin with, the electrical Murder Suspect Killed in Crash Of Speeding Auto Wrens, Ga.nPI Henry Clay Overton, subject of a Southwide manhunt in connection with a double killing in Washington, died Sunday night in a high speed head-on collision while fleeing a police car. A Florida man, who was un able to get his car out of the path of the stolen auto Overton was driving at 110 miles an hour, was killed in the collision. Officers found no trace of Wayne Carpenter, 22, listed as the man who helped Overton shoot up a Washington, D.C., bar early Friday. Swerved lo Wrong Lane Sgt. R. L. Knight and Cpl. F. R. Talcon of the Georgia High way Paatrol said they had chased the 1958 car Overton was driving for about a mile and a half when he apparently looked back and allowed the vehicle to swerve into the wrong lane. Overton was thrown out, along with a sawed-off shotgun and a suitcase full of shotgun shells. The Overton car burst into flames. Charlie Wray, of Cocoa, Fla., was found dead in the back seat of the demolished car. Second Man Sought The FBI, which had been on the trail of Overton and Car penter since they killed two men in a bar and commandeered a getaway car, sped 'agents to the wreck scene in an effort to find some indication of what be came of Carpenter. Patrolmen said it appeared doubtful Carpenter could have survived the crash if he had been with Overton. But the en tire surrounding area was scour ed without finding any trace of him. Inwood, Iowa OP) A youth was killed and 22 other young sters were injured Friday night when a truck being used in a church-sponsored hayride over turned. Formulas ical and economic stability call for ingenuity of leadership and methods that blend with the times. "I am afraid that if you re gard as your opponent every nation, every country mainly be cause they differ from you, soon you will be isolated from the ma jarity of the world and the ma jority of mankind," he said. Attempt 'Mousenilc' ignition system failed.. Then ef forts to touch off. the rocket mechanism manually fizzled. Finally, the boys called it quits. Things had gone badly with the society from the start. Earl ier in the day, the boys sought to fire a "test" rocket containing a radio transmitter. The rocket exploded in an impressive mass of smoke and fire similar to the Navy's illfated "Vanguard" at Cape Canaveral, Fla. The twin failures climaxed months of preparations for the ambitions projects. Group Down-Hearted Later, the boys and their teacher, Sister Dun Scotus, were too down-hearted to comment on their failure to make Ulysses a small scale counterpart of the dog in Russia's Sputnik II. Ulysses was recovered un harmed from the second rocket, which has stayed put. The so ciety had devised a mechanism to parachute the mouse to earth alive after the, hoped-for mile high flight into space. The boys had launched a previous mouse carrying rocket, but the animal was killed when the rocket crashed and buried itself in the ground.
