Jane McHenry saw a lovely Christmas tree ornament a silver star that you can make for your own Christmas tree. Crumple up a sheet of newspaper into a ball the size of an orange. Cut a square of aluminum foil and cover the paper ball with it, bringing the four points of the corners together and twisting wire or a rubber band around them tightly. Next, cut in half three silver (or gold) paper doilies from the dime store so you will have six half -circles. Turn them into little cones and tape the edges. Now fit a cone over each side of the paper ball (see drawing) and tape in place. If you leave a long tail of the rubber band and run it through the point of the top cone, you can hang up your star and it will turn and glitter.
