Officials of the famed insti tutes said membership hit a peak of 19,365 on Oct. 13, surpassing the previous record of 19,110, set in 1929. The current total includes 12, 375 life members, believed to be the largest in this category among among the world"s art museums. Grange Notes Eagle Point Grange Two films on Cancer, "Thei Other City" and "Man Alive,"! were shown at the Dec. 3 meet- j ing of the Eagle Point Grange. Dr. Thomas Rutter, physician and surgeon of Medford, answer ed questions pertaining to the films. Due to the absence of the master, overseer Otis Jones con ducted the the business meet ing. Lester Wertz on agriculture, reported on the recent feeder sale by the Jackson County Stockmen's association and said prices held steady and were com parable with other sales. It was voted to contribute to the fund being raised to publish the annual report being prepared by the Jackson county Agricul tural council. HEC chairman, Mrs. Paul Force said plans had all been completed for the ham dinner to be held at the hall Dec. 8. She also reported on the last HEC meeting which was held at the home oi Mrs. Otis Jones. It was decided to have a pot luck dinner preceding the next Grange meeting on Dec. 17. The men are to bring gifts for men, women for women, and children for children. A price limit of around 50 cents for gifts was set. Wilfrpr! Davips- rpnnrterl nn I t 2 meeting held by the Jackson county Water Resources board on Dec. 2 in Medford and said that the State Board would be holding a meeting in Medford Tuesday, Dec. 10. C. C. Hoover brought up for discussion the subject of re-activating the hospital at Camp White. After considerable dis cussion a committee was appoint ed to investigate conditions. The December meeting of the HEC, which is usually held the last Wednesday of the month has been changed to Monday, ! Dec. 23. It will be at the home of Mrs. Jim Edge with Mrs. Lynn Hickman as co-hostess and there will be an exchange of gifts. The new HEC officers will installed at this time. The installation of officers of the Sub-ordinate Pomona, and Juvenile Grange will be held at the Central Point Grange hall on Dec. 15 and at the Eagle Point Grange hall on Dec. 22.
