ment's monthly price report.
The report indicated farm
costs rose three per cent wer
the past 12 months. This increase

for new automobiles and cloth
inj, but retail prices of house
hold furnishings also rose mod
rately from mid-October.
Average hog prices for the
month were S16.70 per hundred
weight compared with S16.90 in
Mid-October and $14.30 a year
ago.
Average beef cattle prices
were $17.30 per hundredweight,
compared with $17.30 a month
ago and $14.50 a year ago.

400 teen-agers here Saturday at
an Oregon Youth conference.
Dr. Chamberlain, California
psychiatric and youth develop
ment leader, said parents often
"betray" their children by stif
ling gifted youths for fear they
may become "eggheads" or some
other "so-called odd ball."
The teen-agers, leaders in high
schools throughout Oregon, met
to adopt a youth code as a basic
guide for other teen-agers.
Gov. Robert D. Holmes told
the group Saturday that "youth's
own leaders can be the best con-
servers of youth."

Cadillac.
The car allegedly v&s sold to

expected to appear in court as a
witness.
Beck will be defended by
Charles S. Burdell and John J.
Keough. They are the same Se
O attle attorneys who defended
Beck's son, Dave Beck Jr., on
similar charges two weeks ago.
Beck Jr. was found giulty.
The younger Beck was con
victed of grand larceny involv
ing the sale of two other teamsters-owned
Cadillacs. Burdell
has started appeal proceedings
