The ; bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Banco, Somerville, N.J. Mrs. Leland Ellis attended her j sister. She wore a pink net over ! taffeta frock and carried pink ; and white carnations. James Rauhier served as best man. Bruno Pellegrini played the traditional organ wedding music. Following the ceremony a re ception was held at the bride's home attended by close friends I and relatives of the couple. Mrs. Richard Bradford, aunt of the bride, Talent, cut and served the wedding cake and Mrs. Dean Ford poured. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Bradford chose a dark plum dress with black acces sories. For her travelling attire the bride wore a gray wool suit with black accessories and the orchid corsage from her bridal bouquet. The couple left on a wedding trip to New York and plan to make their home in Somerville, N.J., for the next year. The bride attended Medford schobls. The bridegroom attend ed Somerville, N.J. schools and was recently discharged from the United States Navy. Club Holds Initiation Eleven new members were in itiated Thursday evening by Bus iness and Professional Women's club at a dinner meeting held at the Girls' Community club. New members are Mrs. Lil lian Barnes, Mrs. Marjorie Bates, Mrs. Norma Burroughs, Mrs. Margaret Preston, Mrs. Florence Fagalde, Mrs. Bernice Callahan, Mrs. Janis Brown, Mrs. Dorothy Stone, Mrs. Mildred Lucher, Mrs. Muriel Shortridge, and Miss Camille Thompson. Mrs. Marie Dwyer, another new member, was unable to attend the cere monies. Committee chairmen in charge of the Thursday meeting includ ed Mrs. Verna Thatcher, em blem; Mrs. Beulah Natham, membership, and Mrs. Genevieve Collins, hospitality. Initiating team members were Mrs. Thatch er, Miss Lucille Lenox, Miss Vi ola Dietrich, Miss Connie Pay ant, Mrs. Ellen Lynner and Mrs. Georgia White. . The tables for the dinner were decorated with cornucopias filled with fruit, and laurel leaves and berries. School District Reorganization To Be PTA Topic Eagle Point Speaker for the November meeting of Eagle Point Elementary Parent Teacher association, Tuesday, November 26, will be Alf Mek vold, superintendent of county schools. Mr. Mekvold will ex plain the new organization of school districts that will take place on a state-wide basis. Theme of the dinner party was "Let's Go Calypso" and the decor and entertainment followed this idea closely. Highlight of the evening was the traditional presentation of the Boss of The Year statuette which this year was to be award ed to Dick Alley of Alley Lum ber company. Since Mr. Alley did not know in advance of this award, and was out of town elk hunting, Mrs. Virginia Schuster, president of the local chapter and secretary to Mr. Alley, pre sented the statuette to Ben Evans, also of Alley Lumber company. Miss Virginia Wirtanen, certi fied professional secretary from Portland and Oregon division resident of the association, was the principal speaker. She spoke briefly on the certified profes sional secretary program and its benefits to management and the professional secretary, and on the history of the association. Accordion numbers by Sheryl Roberts and dance routines by The Thurstons of The Thurston School of Dance provided other entertainment, climaxed by Mr. Thurston's drumming on a hand made, authentic native drum he had purchased in his travels. James Dunlevy, Rogue Valley Country club manager, was mas ter of ceremonies. The Thanksgiving and Christ mas observance will be held De cember 4. Townsend auxiliary held a quilting party last Wednesday. Three new club members were enrolled. ' Mr. and Mrs. David Wilson, Central Point, and Mrs. Frances Hayes, Portland, were visitors. The meeting closed with a penny drill and music for danc ing. Visitors are welcome to attend all sessions. Guild to Meet St. Catherin's guild of S. Mark's Episcopal church will meet Monday, November 25 in the Parish house at 8 p.m. The evening will be devoted to final work for the bazaar to be held December 5.
