then find two buttons the
-same size as the ends of
the spools. Wash and dry them
thoroughly. Spread glue on one end
of each spool and place a button, flat
side down, on the spool, being
careful not to get any glue in the
holes of the buttons. Press down and
let dry. Now fill the center of the
spools with salt and pepper and seal
the uncovered ends with cellophane
tape. These pretend shakers are fun
for a playhouse, or Mother might
like to have several sets to use for
individual picnic shakers.

making shadow pictures on a sheet?
It will come in handy when you
are planning a party and trying
to think of something that will
be real fun. Hang a sheet across
a line stretched from one side of
the room to the other. Place a
bright light in back of the sheet in
such a position that anyone crossing
in front will be reflected in shadow
on the other side. Be sure your
group of players know one another
and then have them parade one at
