Khrushchev feared he was trying to become another Napoleon Bonaparte, re ports from Moscow said today. Western diplomatic and Com munist press sources in close touch with Moscow said Zhukov shortly would be accused pub licly of ''Bonapartism." some thing akin to the "personality cult" with which Krushchev re garded the late Josef Stalin. Then Western diplo matic sources in close touch with Moscow said the same thing. Moscow Radio indicated some concern today that some Soviet soldiers had a closer allegiance to the army than the party. It broadcast an article from "Red Star," the Red army publi cation, urging all unit command ers and political commissars in the army and navy to rally troops more closely around the party. In Paris, the French Commu nist daily "Humanite" insisted that whatever the Soviet Com munist Party had decided to do about Zhukov it had decided wisely. London's Communist Daily Worker ignored the Zhukov af fair completely today. Bennington, Vt. IP! Mrs. Hank testified Wednes day that the last time she saw her daughter alive was about 7:15 a.m. Jan. 6, 1954, when the girl left for school. Mrs. Fong, whose husband, Wey Him Fong, was freed on a directed verdict in a separate trial, was composed Wednesday as a parade of state's witnesses testified often over the objec tions of John P. Harmon de fense attorney. Witnesses said the hbody was found trussed inside two tat tered blankets and a stained, moldy sheet on Feb. 26, 1954 along the Evergreen highway about three miles east of Wash- ougal. Indictment Charges Conspiracy To Fix Portland Milk Prices Portland (IP) A federal grand jury returned an indict ment Wednesday charging sever al concerns with conspiracy to fix milk prices in the Portland market area. The indictment named the Oregon Milk Distributors, Arden Farms com (any, Dairy Co-oper-Farms, Inc., Damascus. Milk Company, Farmers' Dairy assoc iation, Safeway Stores, Inc., Sun nybrook Farms Milk and Ice Cream company, and Sunshine Dairy. All of the firms named in the indictment have headquarters in Portland except Safeway, head quartered in Oakland. Calif, and Arden Farms, headquartered in Los Angeles. Charges Listed The indictment charged that the defendants and other persons engaged in the distribution of milk in the Portland marketing area "have agreed to fix prices paid to producers for raw milk, to fix distributors' prices for bottled milk and other fluid milk products, to establish non competitive quantity discounts for bottled milk and to restrict and eliminate competition among distributors in the sale and distribution of bottled milk and other fluid products." The indictment came after an investigation which started last April. U. S. District Judge William East ordered summonses served on the defendant concerns, in stead of the customary warrants of arrest. No bail was required. He set date for arraignments for Nov. 22. Milk Cost Said Low William Lubersky, attorney for Oregon Milk Distributors as sociation, said he was shocked at the indictment "because the milk industry in the Portland area pays the highest price to the farmer of any major market on the West Coast. "The milk distributors of the Portland area are not guilty of any violations of federal anti trust laws, conspiracy to fix prices or conspiracy to do any thing else," Lubersky said. He said the cost of milk to families of the Portland area is the lowest of any major city on the coast. LAW CLAMP-DOWN Johannasburg, South Africa OP) The South African govern ment has moved to institute the death penalty in cases of armed robbery, it was reported today. Justice Minister C. Swart said in an address that the cabinet had agreed to introduce legisla tion to this effect. The move co incided with a crime wave in Johannesburg, highlighted by a number of spectacular payroll robberies by armed gangs in re cent days.
