Crow said, however, that re duced production rather than a materially increased demand had improved the market. Boards were in the doldrums so long that mills have been pro ducing as few as possible, Crows said. Fir studs also demonstrated more firmness, for the same rea son of productions cutbacks, ac cording to the market service.
