Ore gon, and all persons having objections thereto are notified then and there to appear and show cause, if any thev have, why said account should not be settled and allowed. BONNIE BORIE Administratrix of the Estate of l ewis T. Robinson, Deceased. the victim of a malicious wo man my sister-in-law who poisoned my husband's mind against me to such an extent that life with him became un bearable. I recently met a bachelor, two years younger than I. We are very fond of one another and are considering marriage. I want so much to rebuild my life and make a decent home for my children. The problem is, as result of the vicious campaign my sister-in-law waged against me, there has been a good deal of gossip about me int the community. Martin, the man I am contem plating marrying, doesn't be lieve a word of it, but his moth er does. He is seriously disturbed about her. How can I convince her of my innocence? Martin M. I am the only one of my mother's five children left in our home community, so it is important that she like and accept my-wife. Otherwise she will be entirely alone. As things now stands, she says she doesn't want to see me or my wife if I marry Harriet. Harriet has begged to meet my mother and has even written to her. She says she is sure she can convince her that she is no thing like what those gossips say, but my mother is very stub born and refuses to meet her. She even tore up Harriet's letter. I am at a loss to know what to do. I have never been so happy in my life as I have been in the time I've known Harriet. My mother thinks it's ridiculous for me to marry a woman with four children, but I really love her. Yet I know this marriage would destroy my mother. Th Council: Harriet appears to be leading with her jaw for another experience like her past one. For some reason she seems' to be attracted to, and attract, men who are under the influence of some other woman. Harriet's husband must have been a pretty weak character to allow his sister to influence him against his wife, and Martin is certainly not much stronger. At the age of 38 he should have enough self-confidence to be able to choose a wife without undue influence from his moth er. Of course, consideration for his mother is natural, but Mar tin should realize if he were firm in his own judgment and took a clear, hard stand in this matter, his mother would be swayed by him. If she were not I convinced on the subject of Har riet s innocence, she would at least be convinced her son had truly found the woman of his choice. In this case, considering Mar tin's age, her opposition to the match would be unfair and un reasonable and Martin would have every reason to dlsregardCOSTLY MOVIE it. As things now stand, Martin's own hesitation gives his mother the power to control this situa tion. Harriet is very foolish to again place herself in the posi tion of having to fight some other woman for a man. There is no basis here for the "decent home life" she wants to create, unless Martin suddenly makes himself a free agent. Copyright 1957. " General Features Corp.)
