The local appearance is being sponsored by the United Med ford Crusade with all profits going to the campaign fund. The crusade hopes to make several hundred dollars with the proj ect. The 2',-hour show will fea ture Chop-Chop and Charlene who will perform Oriental ma gic and Clifford Guest, a ven triolquist, in addition to Simp kins. Simpkins has enjoyed a large audience during his yearly tours of Portland theater-restaurants. He has appeared for 10 consecu tive seasons during his travel throughout the world. Tickets for the Medford ap pearance are on sale at Swem's Record shop or from any 20-30 club member. Safely Fair Meeting Scheduled Monday Myron Terpening, chairman of the Southern Oregon Region al Safety committee, has invited all organizations interested in safety to attend a special plan ning meeting Monday, Oct. 14, to discuss the Southern Oregon Safety Fair. The session will be a no-hoat dinner meeting set for 7 p.m. Monday, in the Pioneer room of the Jackson hotel. Reports from several committees will be heard, including one from the program committee relative to the size and placement of exhib itors booths in the Medford Ar mory, site of the event Nov. 16 Terpening reported earlier that about 25 firms and organi zations in Jackson and Josephine counties have indicated they will be exhibitors. Others who are interested may attend Monday's meeting to obtain more information. Three Juveniles Are Arrested by Police Medford police Friday appre hended three juveniles in con nection with the theft of several items from cars earlier this month. The youths, all from Medford, are 15 and 16 years old. They were arrested in connec tion with the theft of S51.50 worth of items from a car Oct. 6. and the theft of two sets of ignition keys and a gasoline credit check book the same date, police said. A 16-year-old Medford youth was arrested in connection with the theft of a four horsepower motor from a home-made midget car parked on Austin st. Friday, police said. The theft was report ed by Charles Robert Wright, 521 Park st.
