Lefler-Barritt Wedding Rites
Held in Central Point Church
Eagle Point Miss Verna Joanne Barritt became the bride
of Harold Lefler in a ceremony held Saturday, August 17, in Cen
tral Point Community Bible church. The Rev. Joseph Munshaw,
Eagle Point Community Bible church, read the service at eight
o'clock in the evening in the presence of 200 relatives and friends.
The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Otha Turner, Route 1,
Box'658C, Eagle Point, and the
bridegroom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Floyd Lefler, 1015 Oak
street, Central Point.
Mr. Lefler and his bride are
making a motor trip to Yosemite
National park in California for
their honeymoon, and will live
in Pasadena, Calif., where the
bridegroom will attend Pasade
na City college this fall.
The bride, given in marriage
by Mr. Turner, wore a gown of
white lace and net over taffeta
and carried a cascade bouquet of
dark red roses and pink carna
tions centered with a white or
chid. Mrs. Darold Barritt, the
bride's sii'.ter-in-law, was matron-
of-honor, and Miss Susan Fallen-
hagen and Miss Glenda Swanson
were Driaesmaias. rney wore
pink taffeta frocks and carried
pink and white carnations.
Nanette Regester was flower
girl and the candles were lighted
by Miss Patricia Higinbotham,
cousin of the bridegroom, and
Miss Jannett Johnson. The can-
dlelighters wore frocks of pink
dotted Swiss.

which will be entered in west

is also taking her five-gaited
horse, Pride of Carnation, and
her palomino parade stallion,

Miss Burns, formerly of Central
Point, and now of Redding, Cal.,
has set August 27 as he date
for her wedding to Roy Price of
Santa Barbara.

in a biue crepe sheath dress with
white accessories and a pink and

ust 17, for the nuptial ' mass
which wedded Miss Carol Ann
Wilson and Charles Neff Culmer.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs.
Victor Wrigglesworth, 1027 Red
dy street, - Medford, and Fred
Wilson, Dexter, Ore. The bride
groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Culmer, 399 Mountain
street, Ashland.
The Rev. John Ilg officiated
for the double ring ceremony
held at eleven o'clock in the
morning. Bruno Pellegrini
played the traditional organ
wedding music.
The bride, escorted to the al
tar by her father, wore a baller
ina length frock of lace and
tulle over satin. Her fingertip
length veil was held by a seed
pearl crown and she carried a
cascade bouquet of pink roses
and stephanotis. Her - single
strand of pearls was a gift from
the bridegroom.
Miss Carita Culmer, sister of
the bridegroom, was honor at
tendant. She wore a ballerina
length frock of pink taffeta and
tulle with headband and sequin
veil. She carried a bouquet of
pink carnations. Miss Sylvia
Teeter, Miss Molly Walker and
Miss Carol Lewis, Eugene, were
bridesmaids. They wore balle
rina length pink affeta and tulle
frocks with matching headbands
and sequin veils and carried bou
quets of white and pink carna
tions. Monty Wray, Ashland, served
as best man while Leroy Moore,
Howard Roberts, and Monty
Robertson, all of Ashland, seated
guests.

Mrs.- Wrigglesworth - chose a
peach lace dress with white ac
cessories. Mrs. Culmer wore a
blue lace frock with black ac
cessories. They wore white car

Following the ceremony a re
ception was held at the Medford
hotel. Assisting at the reception
were Mrs. Myrlin Scott, Mrs.
Molly Young, Miss Nancy Wal
stead, and Miss Jean Tabor.
After a wedding trip along the
Oregon coast the newlywed
couple will make their home in
southern California where the
bridegroom will attend Cali
fornia State Polytechnic college.
For her traveling attire the bride
wore a powder blue sheath dress
with matching jacket and white
accessories.
The bride is a graduate of
Medford High school and attend
ed Robertson Business school.
She was employed by Rush Elec
tric. The bridegroom is a gradu
ate of Ashland high school and
was employed by the Market

bride-elct August 3 with a mis
cellaneous shower at the Teeter

Fifteen guests attended.
August 8 Mrs. Robert Coghill
and Mrs. " Dave Schaeffer were
hostesses for a shower at the
home of Mrs. Coghill's parents,
the Taylor residence in Ash
land. Garden flowers decorated
the rooms for the event attended
by 20 friends.
Mrs. Wrigglesworth was host
ess to a group of friends of the
bride-elect at a buffet dinner,
August 15. Pink and white asters
formed the centerpiece for the
table. Guests included Miss Syl
via Teeter, Miss Carol Lewis,
Miss Molly Walker, Miss Nancy
Walstead, Miss Darlene Smith,
