Curtain time is 8:30 p.m. Good Selection of Seats Still Available at Plays Ashland A good selection of seats is still available for all re maining performances at the Oregon Ehakespearean Festival, but Rogue valley residents are urged to secure their reserva tions as soon as possible, accord ing to William W. Patton, Festi val general manager. Attend ance for the three full rounds of plays showed a substantial in crease over last year, and that advance ticket orders are still leading 1956, he said. Special activities this week include the third in the series Wealher Brings 15th Atomic Test Delay Las Vegas, Nev. (in The Atomic Energy Commission lost a battle with the weather early ,today and was forced to call the 15th postponement in the firing of its "Shasta" nuclear device. The1 test was set for 4 a.m. (p.s.t.) but less than an hour before the device was to be trig gered atop a 500-foot tower scientists decided that wind con ditions could carry fallout over populated areas near the Nevada Proving Ground.' The AEC will try again at the same time Wed nesday. The much-delayed "Shasta" test originally was scheduled July 29. Unfavorable weather led to the postponements, a rec ord number for the 1957 series. Dr. Margery Bailey, director of the institute of renaissance studies, has announced 'that Ed ward Brubaker of Franklin and Marshall college, the stage man ager for the Festival company, will be featured at the Trinity Noon Reading, Wednesday, Aug. 14. Brubaker will read "The History of Tom Thumb," Henry Fielding's parody on 16th and 17th century tragedy. This will be at Trinity halL Thursday marks the third of the Gresham lectures, scheduled for 4 p.m. in the assembly room at the Ashland Public library Robert B. Loper of Stanford uni versity, director of this year's "Henry VIII," and "Pericles" productions, will discuss "Pro ducing Shakespeare's Stepchil dren," an analysis of the prob lems encountered in staging "Timon," "Titus Andronicus, and "Pericles." Patterson's Opens Medfofd Division' A Medford division of Patter son's bakery began operations here last week at 1242 North Central ave., George Patterson, owner, has announced. The new wholesale bakery will service stores and restrau ants in- southern Oregon, with sweet goods baked in Medford and breads baked in the Rose burg section of the company Patterson said. The firm's quarters, which once housed the old Medford Blowpipe company, were re modelled at a cost of several thousand dollars, he said. Dave Harem, Patterson's son-in-law, will manage the plant and Dean Peden is assistant manager. About 10 persons are employed here. Patterson has been in the bakery business in Roseburg for the past 15 years and has serv iced stores and restaurants in Medford and Grants Pass the past year. Cache of Rifles Seized at Miami ' Miami HP) Customs agents early today seized a huge cache of rifles, machine guns and 50, 000 rounds of ammunition be lieved destined for insurgents camped in the Cuban mountain jungles. Two men were arrested and authorities hunted three more believed involved in a plot to ship arms to Cuban rebel leader : Fidel Castro, who is trying to overthrow Cuban President Ful- gencio Batista. i Charles Wyatt, supervisor of customs in Miami, identified the men arrested as Gil De Gibaja, 46, an American citizen of Cuban descent living in Miami, and Al fredo C. Z. Gonzalez, 38, who said he is a farmer. He told offi cers he was from Havana. The men were charged with violation of the neutrality act and jailed pending further action. Asiatic Flu Feared Aboard Exchange Ship New York W City and federal health officials today ex amined a reported 100 cases of what may be Asiatic flu among European exchange students ar riving here aboard the liner Arosa Sky. ' When the liner readier quar antine Monday night medical authorities went aboard. Ship officials had reported an out break at sea of what they be lieved to be "mild influenza." Aboard the Arosa Sky are about 800 foreign students aged 16 to 13, all scheduled to live with families across the United States and attend local high schools. The ship sailed from Rotterd- l Aug. 5. Milton-Freewaler, Weston To Get Funds . Weston. Ore. TP Rep. Al Ullman (D.-Ore.) said Monday that Milton-Frcewater and Wes ton have been approved for fed eral funds to assist in construc tion of sewage treatment plants. Ullman informed Weston Mayor Walter L.
