Obituaries ABTHUR FLOYD GILBREATH Funeral services for Arthur Floyd Gilbreath, 46, - of Eagle Point, who died in California Tuesday, will be held at Perl Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Mon day. The Rev. Gerald Smith of the Reese Creek church in Eagle Point will officiate. In ternment will be in the Siskiyou Memorial park. Mr. Gilbreath was born in Sepe Springs, Texas, June 6, 1911. and has been a resident of the Eagle Point community for the past 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Neva S. Gilbreath; two sons, Rodney Floyd Gilbreath, Gar den Grove, Calif., and Jimmy Gilbreath at home; one step-son, Richard N. Wallace, Medford; one daughter, Joan Ripley, Eagle Point; his mother, Mrs. Mary E. In 1931 she moved to San Fran cisco and lived in that city until her death. Miss Heer had been i employed by the Southern Paci : fic railroad for 30 years. W Some residents of a mountainous, timber-rich area of Clackamas, Wasco and Hood River counties want to secede to form Oregon's 37th county. John Mills of the Sandy Cham ber of Commerce said the seces sion movement seemed to be gaining popularity. xwo tentative Dounaaries 01 me pruposea county wouia De the Deschutes and Clackamas rivers. Other lines would have to be drawn after conferences between representatives of the secessionists in the three coun ties. A petition campaign would be required to make the move ment official. The area has vast resources of timber, hydro-electric po tential and recreation facilities. Portland Promoter Charged With Fraud Portland W - E. R. Erri- on, 56, Portland and Seattle promotor, Thursday was order ed to stand trial on 10 counts of fraud, despite the fact that he had already pleaded guilty to two additional counts. Federal District Judge Gus Solomon said he would set trial dates Monday. Errion, still jailed for lack of $30,000 bail, was accused along with several others for fraud in the sale of memberships in the Mount Hood Hardboard and Plywood Cooperative of Estacada, Ore., and the Beaver Plywood Cooperative of Salem. Five co-defendants are await ing sentencing on fraud con victions. Truck Driver Given Dunsmuir Jail Term Dunsmuir, Calif. W Wil-: liam K. Hobaugh, 27, Portland truck driver, was sentenced to serve three days in Dunsmuir jail Thursday for exceeding the speed limit by 5 m.p.h. i Hobaugh was the first truck- i er arrested since city officials i resolved to crack down on viola-! tors of truck speed limits. A week ago two persons were kill ed and six injured when brakes on a plywood truck failed and it careened through the city at speeds up to 75 m.p.h. Dunsmuir is located on a steep grade on Highway 99 and has had previous experiences with runaway trucks. CONGRESSMAN DIES Chicago W Rep. James B. Ohio, woman the night Marilyn Sheppard was slain. Ohio Gov. C. William O'Neill announced in Columbus that Dr. Samuel H. Sheppard, now serv ing a life term in prison for his wife's murder, will undergo a lie detector test. Sheppard would not consent to a lie test in early stages of the murder case but later asked for one. He was denied the test at that time.
