Beavers don't know where their
next win is coming from.
And you can bet that league
leading San Francisco feels any
thing but merciful what with
Vancouver and the hot Holly
wood Stars breathing down its
neck.
The Seals dumped Portland
for the 10th consecutive time
Thursday night In a rousing 10
inning game that eventually
needed the attention of 10 hurl
ers. The final score was 12-7,
after 22 Seal hits.
San Francisco sewed it up In
the extra inning with a five-run
outburst which began with a
round-tripper by Frank Kellert.
That started the Seals into four
more runs all off singles.
For a time it looked like Port
land had found the winning com
bination by taking a second in
ning lead with five runs. The big
man there was Frank Carswell
who hit a three-run homer that
was followed by a single, two
walks and an infield out.
Kiely Wins Again
Winner was Leo Kiely. Kiely,
the winningest pitcher in the
league, now has a 14-2 record.
Loser Gene Fodge Is 1-4.
