Two special events
and
the
opening of a new sqttfje sfirnce
building have been announced
by southern Oregon square
aance groups.
The Rogue Valley Square
Dance Callers association is
sponsoring a family picnic and
dance at the Rogue River .y ,
park Thursday. July 4. The
afternoon program will start at:
1 p.m. and dancing will be held;
on the outdoor pavilion.

Another dance will be held in
the Veterans of Foreign 0V'arS
hall in Rogue RiverVednesday,
July 17, when Wilifam Hansen
of West Covina. Calif., will be
featured caller. The event is be
sponsored by the RVSDCA, and
will start at 8:30 p.m.
Douglas Fosbury, Medford
caller, and Douglas Decker,
Waggin' Wheelers club caller.

Local dancers have refurb
ished the building in preparation
for the first dance Saturday,
July 6, which will be a free
dance. Potluck refreshments
will be served.
Two-Fruif Shortcake
Use a few strawberries for a
two-fruit shortcake, combining
them with canned cling peach
slices. Snoon fruit over individ
ual packaged shortcakes, and
top with whipped cream.
