men have been indicted by the
Los Angeies County Grand Jury
on charges of robbery and kid
naping in the daring holdup of
$139,000 in jewels and furs from
former opera star Lauritz Mcl
chior. The jurors Tuesday returned
an indictment against Richard
McFall, 38; Robert Morgan. 39;
Louis K. Spivak, 44; and Alfred
J. Pope. Morgan and Pope were
captured within 48 hours after
the robbery last Tuesday while
McFall and Spivak are being
sought.
Morgan was the final wit
ness before the Grand Jury and
it was indicated he will be a wit
ness for the state when the men
go on trial. The kidnaping
charge resulted from allegations
that Mrs. Willa Huber, a house
keeper, was forced by the ban
dits at gunpoint from a guest
house into the Melchoir home.
