Installation officer was Larry Sheeham of Rosue River. Offi cers installed were president, Donald A. Faber; first vice pres iednt. Gay M. Anderson: secre tary and treasurer. Leo Cellura; tail twister. Franklin Saxberry; and Lion tamer, Wendel Pan ter. New directors are Clinton Blithen, Jans Myhre. Earnest Taylor and hold over director is Arthur Rupp. The Lady Lions were euests at the event. Arthur Rupp and Clinton Blithen are delegates to the State Lions Convention. Wen del panter is alternate delegate. The State Convention will be held in Medford beginning June 20 and lasting three days. The International Lions Con vention will be held at The Cow Palace in San Francisco begin ning June 26, and lasting four days. The three delegates from the Central Point Lions club who will attend the convention are Clinton Blithen, Wendal Panter, and Donald A. Faber. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Skyrman left Monday for a trip to Cres cent City and points along the coast. Weekend guests at the Ever ett Hogue home in Central Point were the Hogue's son. Melvin, of Burnie, Calif., and Hoeues' brother. Robert Hogue, from McCloud, Calif. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Hughes and sons went with the A. C. Hooker family of Medford to Mt. Shasta and McCloud. While in Mt. Shasta, they toured the fish hatchery. Mrs. Wendel Panter took her father and mother. Mr. and Mrs. George Atkins, of Medford to Gant's Pass for dinner on Fath er's Day. It is a state of exces sive, frequently inappropriate, and sustained anxiety which has undesirable and often devastat ing effects upon the mental and physical health of the individ ual." "In the majority of instances, it is the result of an unresolved conflict which arises sometime during a person's life. In some cases, the conflict exists at a con- by the patient. More often, be cause of its unpleasant and threatening nature, and tiie existence of elements not acccpt ?ble to the individual's concept of himself, tiie conflict has been repressed into the unconscious." Psychotherapy can though often only after much effort resolve the conflict, and that is the only cure. Psychiatrists can't handle all this work, and prospective work there aren't enough psychiatrists. General practitioner; and internists must learn to apply psychotherapy that is their "responsibility" be cause of "the apparent increase of emotionally induced illnesses." Mr. and Mrs. Dolmar Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tay lor were delegates from the Cen tral Point Grange to the Slate Grange Convention at Bend. Taylor is district youth chair man. The Taylors came home Fri day evening, and the Smiths went to Eugene where they vis ited Mr. and Mrs. Claire Parks and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie God oard. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. William Whitlock of Cot tage Grove. Mrs. Flora Shaw fttended Crater Rock Museum while the Smiths were away. Linda and David Loin of Gran rut Falls, Wash., are visiting at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James John son, and family. The Johnsons live on the Old Stage rd. Corp. Lyle Yocum, son of Mrs. Merle Jack, is at home on a 30-day furlough. He is an avia tion electrician in the Marines and is stationed in North Carolina. Visitors at the James W. Smith home over the week end were Mr. and Mrs. Marfan Clarkson and children of Newberg. Miss Joan Dezell Logan, who also lives in Newberg, was also visit ing with the Smiths and with the Clinton Crissmans. GifNPerfeci Mrs. Larry Larimore and son. Ronnie, of Pasco, Wash., are vis iting the James Smith family. Susy Lisenbee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Lisenbee, went to the hospital Wednesday night for an emergency appen dectomy. She came home Sat uiday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Doran Mose and daughter. Donna Lee, and Patri cia McCue spent the week end at the coast. Mrs. Lorraine Hall who was physical education teacher at Crater High school will teach at Eagle Point next fall. The summer recration pro gram began Monday in Central Point. Richard Traylor report ed a good turnout for the first day. There were 85 and more are expected. Monday afternoon boys brought rakes and hoes to the ball field and cleaned off the diamond. Boys in the Central Point area who are eight years rid through 14 may still register. Those attending Bible School mav register when Bible School ' ends.
