"Whenever her husband would come near her she would break out in a rash similar to poison ivy," a doctor said. "When he is away the rash immediately clears up." Air Force doctors have not been able to determine the cause but they are now in vestigating the sergeant's hair oil and after-shave lotion as pos sible clues to the mysterv. Eugene Child, 5f Drowns in" Swim Pool Eugene "J" James Doug las McDowell. 5, of Eugene, drowned Sunday, after he had climbed over a neighbor's fence and fell into a swimming pool. The McDowell boy and an other little boy, who was not identified, climbed over the fence surrounding the swimming pool nf Paul Snellstrom. Mc Dowell fell into the pool and the other little boy ran for help. The boy was pulled from the pool about 15 minutes later by his father, Howard. An hour of artificial respira tion by the Eugene fire depart ment failed to revive the boy and he was pronounced dead by a doctor. The drowning accident was the second in Lane county over the week end. Saturday, Christoper Carrol, 7. Seattle, drowned in the Row river east of Cottage Grove. He had been fishing with his uncle and two cousins.
