(Brainerd photo) Miss Lena Mae Tibbits Bride of Gerald Symens Eagle Point Miss Lena Mae Tibbits, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Tibbits of Eagle Point became the bride of Ger ald Lee Symens, son o'f Mr. and Mrs. John Dickenson of Shady Cove in a ceremony held Thurs day May 9 at the Eagle Point Community Bible church. The Rev. Joseph J. MunsRaw officiated at the double ring ceremony held at eight o'clock in the evening and attended by 150 relatives and friends. For her wedding the bride wore a white lace and tulle floor length dress fashioned with fitted bodice and long sleeves. Her fingertip length veil was held by a seed pearl crown and she carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and stephanotis. Miss Lois Farlow was honor attendant. Other attendants were Mrs. Glen Cave of Med ford, and Miss Linda Malloroy. They wore dresses of pink and lavendar net and carried white carnation corsages with ribbon and lace that matched their dresses. Candlelighters were Miss Barbara Tibbits of Grants Pass and Miss Maxine Abott of Roseburg, cousins of the bride. Their dresses were of yellow net and their wrist bouquets were of lavendar flowers. White lilacs and spirea decor ated the church for the cere mony. The decorations were ar ranged by Mrs. Mattie Brown. Mrs. Ray Chamberlain played the traditional organ wedding music, and Mrs. John Millard was soloist. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Tibbits chose a turquoise print silk dress with matching turquoise duster with white ac cessories. Her corsage was of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Dickenson wore a pink and avocado colored dress with avocado duster and white accessories. Her flowers were white gardenias. Following the wedding a re ception was held. Mrs. Edward Chamberlain and Mrs. John Noble cut and served the wed ding cake. Miss Dixie Dixon and Mrs. Don Kimmel poured while Miss Barbara Brugger was in charge of the guest book. Miss Jean Mitchell was at the gift table.' Color-fast Chromspon Lastex embraced with white. 10-18. 22.95 Grants Pass Miss Caroline Gertrude Faust of Grants Pass and Charles Edward White of Rogue River were married Sun day afternoon, May 19, in the Fireside room of First Presby terian church, Chowchilla, Calif. , The Rev. Walter M. Sutherland officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate families. The room was decorated with baskets 'of white gladioli, stock, and greenery at either side of the fireplace, and a low arrangement of white daisies and fern- graced the mantle be fore which the couple said their vows. The bride was given in mar riage by her father, Wesley L. Faust. Her gown was fashioned of blue lace and net over taffeta, with fitted bodice and full skirt.- . Her shoulder length veil was held in place by a Juliet cap trimmed with seed pearls. ! She earned a Bible given to her mother by her parents, and step hanotis. Mrs. Robert Upton was the bride's only attendant. Her dress was of white eyelet embroidery over pink taffeta made princess style, with a large pink bow forming a bustle. She carried a colonial bouquet fashioned of pink rosebuds. George W. Kidston, Ephrata, Wash., a college roommate of i the bridegroom, served as best man. Before the exchange of vows John L. Fry sang. The bride's mother wore a dress of dusty rose lace,, and .the bridegroom's mother wore a blue-grey suit. Both wore rose bud corsages. For her going away costume the bride chose a light blue suit with pink blouse and acces sories. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley L. Faust of Chowchilla. She was gradu ated from Chowchilla Union High school with the class of 1950 and received her bachelor of science degree from Oregon State college in 1954. She is presently employed as a county extension agent ini Josephine county. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. White of Rogue River. He is a graduate of Medford Senior High school and Oregon State College School of Engineering. He is as sociated with his father in farm ing at Rogue River. The newlyweds will be at home at Apartment 4. 861 Northeast Ninth street, Grants Pass, after their honeymoon. The bride attended Eagle Point High- school. The bride groom attended Eagle Point High school and is now a cor poral in the United States Air Force stationed . at Spokane, Wash., where the couple will make their home. Out-of-town guests attending the wedding included Mrs. Cur tis Abbott and two daughters of Roseburg; Mrs. Don Abott also of Roseburg; Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Tibbits of Grants Pass,- and Mr. and Mrs. C. Where You Park at the Door Medford Students Receive Honors A number of Medford students at Willamette university have been honored recently with ap pointments and honors accord ing to news releases from the college. Two Medford students have been selected by their major pro fessors for work as departmental assistants next year. Miss Connie Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Hartley of 59 Rose avenue, will assist in the sociology department. Thomas Gail, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Gail of 159S Biddle road, will work as departmental assistant in biology. Honor societies at the univers ity tapped two Medford students for membership at the annual awards convocation last week. Lewis Bright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bright of 1797 Min car road, became a member of Omicron Delta Kappa fraternity, the national upperclass men's honor society. Bidden to membership in Mu Phi Epsilon, national music fra ternity for womer. was Miss Sonja Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Peterson of 2574 Jacksonville highway. Larson of Seattle. j Mrs. Larson and Mrs. Cormany j are sisters. While in the valley the visitors took in the sights of the surrounding area and Klam ath Falls. Garden flowers decorated First I Methodist church Sunday, May 12, for the wedding of Miss Marie Beeney and Joseph Kath rein. Dr. Raymond E. Balcomb officiated at the three o'clock afternoon wedding attended by 80 friends and relatives of the couple. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Beeney of 3723 South Pacific highway, Medford. She has- been employ ed as a secretary at First Meth odist church. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McAlpine of Bates, Ore. For her wedding the bride wore a white lace and. tulle frock over satin fashioned with full skirt and lace flounce and fitted lace bodice. Her veil was elbow length and she carried a bouquet of baby rosebuds and lilies of the valley. She was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Jack Boettcher was hon or attendant and Mr,s. . Earl Barnes and Mrs. James Wells, all sisters of the bride, were bridesmatrons. They wore bal lerina length frocks of nylon net in pastel shades and carried bouquets of pink carnations made by Mrs. McAlpine. Flower girls were Judith Boettcher and Christine Barnes, nieces of the bride. Candlelighters were Miss Sharon Boettcher and Miss Carolyn Beeney, also nieces of the bride. Their dresses were of nylon in shades of blue, green, and pink. ; Jack Boettcher served as best man and James Wells, Earl Barnes. Harvey Beeney, and Lyle Beeney Jr., seated the guests. Kenneth Boettcher was ring bearer. Mrs. Jerry' Sherman played the traditional organ wedding music and Herbert Daniels was vocal soloist. The flowers that decorated Vie church and the rooms where the reception was held were from the garden of Guy Lunceford,. Ashland, uncle of the bride. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Beeney chose a navy blue with white dot dress with white accessories. Mrs. McAlpine wore a rose dress with white acces sories. Out of town guest was Mrs. Nettie , Miller, grandmother of the bride from Elko, Nev. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in Wesley hall of the church.- The newlyweds took a wed ding trip to Lyons, Ore., where they will make their home. For her traveling attif e the bride wore a white and navy polka dot dress with navy faille duster and ice blue and white acces sories. The bride attended schools in Nevada and Oregon. The bride groom attended school in Cali fornia and Oregon and has been making his home in Bates, Ore. He is employed by the Simpson Plywood Mill in Lyons. - Final Meeting Is Planned for Kiwanian Dames Mrs. L. C. McLoughlin will be hostess for a meeting of Ki wanian Dames at her home, 3384 Jacksonville highway, Tuesday, May 28. Luncheon will be served at 12 o'clock with Mrs. John Pletsch, Mrs. Merle Foland, Mrs ' Vernon Thorpe and Mrs. Frank A. Benesh as co-hostesses.
