The California attorney general is attempting to obtain crimi nal indictments against the publication. Miss O'Hara said the magazine had "printed an article about me which was a complete lie" and felt "it is my civic duty to co-operate in this investigation." Liberace, appearing much thinner, filed a 23-million-dollar libel suit against the magazine over an article about him. 11 Individuals, Five Companies Accused of Libel Hollywood HP) Eleven in - dividual and five companies, in cluding Confidential magazine nd its publisher, Robert Harri son, were reportedly accused of criminal libel' and other charges today - in . secret county Grand Jury indictment. The indictment was returned late Wednesday at the conclu sion of a two-day Grand Jury probe , into the controversial scandal magazine. It was termed "secret" until returned before a . judge because -Harrison and the others involved were out of the state. The indictment reportedly listed charges of conspiracy to publish criminal libel, publish and distribute lewd and obscene material, disseminate illegal in formation about abortions, and disseminate information about male rejuvenation. Source Identified Among those reportedly in dicted also was Francesca de Scaffa, beauteous former wife of Bruce Cabot. She was identi fied Tuesday by former Confi dential editor Howard Rush more as one of the chief sources of Hollywood "material" for the magazine. . The others ; listed by jury sources as named in the indict ments were Mrs. " Marjorie Meade, ' Harrison's niece and president of Hollywood Re search, Inc., West Coast research agent for the magazine; her hus band, Fred S. Meade; Mrs. Edith Tobias, Harrison's sister and his executive assistant; her hus band, Michael Tobias, vice presi dent of Hollywood Research, Inc.; Mrs. Helen Studin, sister and personal secretary of Har rison: her husband. Ban Studin, circulation manager for Con fidential; Robert Kable, . presi dent of Kable Publishing Co.; Richard Cox, head of Publishers Distributing Co., and A. P. Go voni, identified as editor of Con fidential.' . - The five companies were re ported as- Confidential Maga zine Inc.; Kable Publishing Co. of Illinois; Publishers Distribut ing Corp. of New York; Whisper, Inc., another Harrison enter prise, and the Hollywood Re-, search firm. Such power could come "as a combined result of technological development and changing fuel and other cost relationships with conventional plants," Suther land said Wednesday during a panel discussion at the Pacific Coast Electrical Association con vention. "The cost trend of atomic fuel is believed to be down," he said, "while the long-range trend in the cost . of conventional fuels would seem to be upward." Tracy urged the federal gov ernment to sell all its businesses which operate - in competition with private enterprises. Such a move, he said, would increase tax revenues.
