Kerr Says Ike's Stall
j Running Government
! Washington !U.R) Sen. Rob
j ert S. Kerr (D-Okla.) charged
j Wednesday night that President
Eisenhower's staff "practically
runs the government."
"Even the news is dosed out
to him in "capsule form," he
said in his weekly newsletter to
constituents.
"It was learned recently that
Ike's principal source of current
information is a miniature daily
of news briefs, edited and select
ed for him by of course his
White House staff."
Kerr, who has been one of Ei
senhower's most frequent critics,
said many Republicans feel they
are "getting the bum's rush"
i when they try to deal with the
1 White House.
