Meetings Planned Three chapters of PEO Sister hood will meet this week. Chapter BE will meet Tues day, April 16, at 8 p. m. at the home of Mrs. F. Wilson Wait, 220 Vancouver avenue. Mrs. W. E. Osier (at left) accepts the ravel of Scottish Rite Women's club from the retiring president, Mrs. Frank Salyers, during a luncheon meeting of the club held Monday noon at the Medford hotel. The tables were gaily decorated with spring blos soms and Easter bunnies and chicks. Annual Installation Ceremony Held by Scottish Rite Women The Scottish Rite Women's club installed Mrs. George D. Osier as twelfth president at a noon luncheon ceremony Mon day at the Medford hotel. , Other officers installed" were Mrs. Garner W. Couey, vice president; Mrs. Edwin C. Hoff man, secretary; and Mrs. Edward C. Root, treasurer. The new president appointed Mrs. Clay M. Lee, publicity chairman; Mrs. Howrd C. Gold smith, visitation chairman;. Mrs. Herbert L. Alford, hostess; Mrs. Leonard C. Scott, custodian; and Mrs. Harry F. Nordwick, Mrs. B sil Lindley, and Mrs. Ralph Lue, finance committee. Mrs. Fred Graten, junior past president, was installing officer. Mrs. Alford was installing secre tary. Both Mrs. Frank Salyers, re tiring president, and Mrs. Osier new president, were presented corsages. Mrs. Salyers was also presented a pin, a gift from the club. The luncheon tables were dec orated with geraniums of vari ous colors, Easter bunnies and chicks. The main tab'i was cen tered with a basket of tulips, white stock and daisies. Corsages marked the places for the new officers of the . club. ' The luncheon was opened with the singing of the Doxology. Mrs. Salyers thanked all of her officers and presented each with a gift. She gave a complete resume of the year's events. , Bridge and canasta were the diversion of the afternoon, with the bridge prize going to Mrs. John P. Dickson and the canasta award toi Mrs. Verna McCallis ter. Another award was given Mrs. Alford. Guests of the club were Mrs. Bren Starcher and Mrs. Dickson. Mrs. John H. Dalen, Mrs. Fred W. Scheffel, and Mrs." Arthur L. Carroll were welcomed as new members. For the ceremony Mrs. Osier wore an orchid linen cape dress with a ripplebrim hat, and Mrs. Salyers wore a black linen with a white linen jacket and white profile hat. Mrs. Ira D. Canfield was named general chairman for the Easter breakfast to be served Scottish Rite Masons and their invited Blue lodge guests. The next meeting will be Mon day, April 22, at 8 p.m. in the Masonic temple, and will be a social affair. Mrs. Couey will be the chairman for the evening.
