Warmth and sunshine should mean a sizable turnout for their seventh annual Southern Oregon xone trapshoot. Entrants are ex pected from throughout southern and southwestern Oregon and the Willamette valley. Gene, Sugar Fight May 1 Chicago (U.R) Middle weight champion Gene Fullmer and Sugar Ray Robinson signed formal contracts Thursday for a 15-round championship fight at the Chicago Stadium May 1. The pacts, also signed by president James D. Norris of the sponsoring International Boxing club, gives each boxer 30 per cent of the net gate receipts plus another 30 per cent apiece as their share of the $100,000 paid for television rights. The championship battle will be telecast nationally with the Chicago area blacked out. Robinson, at 35, will be try ing to recapture the 160-pound crown he lost to the 25-year-old champion from Salt Lake City in a 15-round unanimous de cision Jan. 2 at New York's Madison Square Garden. '' X jwffi , 'llf Shooting will start at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday firing will begin at 9 a.m. Shotgunners will have an opportunity to blast at 100 targets at 16 yards, 100 han dicap clay pigeons and 25 pairs of doubles. That program offers 500 targets to entrants here for both days. Registered The event is registered by the Pacific International Trapshoot ing association. Trophies will be presented .to winners and run ners up in the handicap and in each class of the 16-yard and doubles shoots. There will be special trophies for high lady and high junior in the Sunday 16-yard program. A buddy shoot for two-man teams will run concurrent with the Sunday 16-yard and handi cap competition. Any two shoot ers may enter and are not re quired to shoot on the same .squad. The shoot will be the second registered one here this season. Spectators are invited to the grounds. Lunch wil be available at the club's dining hall. Idaho Staters Ahead in Boxing Pocatello, Idaho (U.R) The Idaho State college boxing team held a 9-3 lead over Michigan State Friday in the 20th annual NCAA boxing championships after battering down opponents in five bouts in the college gym nasium. Other teams which gathered points through wins in quarter final fights were San Jose State college and Syracuse, 2 points each, and Sacramento State, Washington State, California Polytechnic and Nevada, 1 point each. Sena tor Randolph Collier, president of the Mount Shasta Ski Bowl corporation, announced today that the application to the Cali fornia commissioner of corpora tions for a permit to accept sub scriptions for a stock issue has been approved. The stock issue will be made available to the public at $10 par value per share as soon as the prospectus now in the hands of the printer has been received. This prospectus has been ap proved by the commissioner of corporations, and states specifi cally the program of develop ment of the Mount Shasta ski bowl for which the funds de rived from the sale of stock will be used. It also contains the history of the project and the expected returns to the stockholders as verified by disinterested parties.
