Teamsfer Money Said Unsolicited Salem (U.R) Gov. Robert D. Holmes said today he did not solicit money for his campaign from the Teamsters Union. The governor said he went to the Teamsters building to pick up a campaign contribution and that there never had been any secret of it. "It is a matter of record in the financial statement which was filed by the Holmes for governor committee." He said George Brown, polit ical director for the AFL-CIO committee on political education told him the Teamsters had a contribution and they would ap preciate it if he would go to their headquarters to pick it up. He said he did. Holmes said he did not talk to Clyde Crosby, Teamster or ganizer for Oregon. Crosby testified in Washing ton that Holmes came to the Teamsters office but he did not talk to him. He said that Holmes met with some other members of the legislative com mittee and was given a check for $2000. Dog Probably Doesn't Know Night from Day Champaign, 111. (U.R) If Fido sheds hair on the rugs and furni ture, don't be too hard on him. It's because his system probably doesn't know night from day anymore. That's the advice from Dr. A. G. Schiller at the 'University of Illinois, who explained that before dogs became house pets they lived only in natural sun light, and the length of the day affected the thickness of their coats. Now that many dogs live ia- doors, Schiller said, electric lights cause the normal mech anism in the animals to get some what mixed up, and the dogs may shed hair the year round.
