Baylor's scoring pace brought his season's average to 30.9 points a game. A hard-fighting Portland team held the Chieftains to a 55-54 halftime lead. Seattle's largest lead was 16 points and the score was knotted twice in the first period. Seattle hit 64 per cent from the field compared to 44 per cent for the Pilots.
