Ex-Rogue Coach Gets New Post High Point, N.C.-U.R) Frank Lucchesi has been named man ager of the High Point-Thomas-ville club in the Class B Caro lina League. He piloted the Salt Lake City team to a second place finish in the Pioneer League last year. Frank Lucchesi, who has been named manager of the High Point-Thomasville baseball club in the Carolina league, was manager of the Medford Rogues in the Far West leaguoin 1951. Duquesne Star Extends Record Pittsburgh U.R) Forward Dave Ricketts of Duquesne Uni versity sank two foul shots be fore missing on his third in a game with Niagara Monday night to extend his consecutive foul shot record to 42. Ricketts, who last missed a free throw on Jan. 3 against Dayton, set the major college record at 40 last Wednesday when he hit 10-for-10 tc break the mark of 38 set early this sea son by Chet Forte of Columbia. Young Isidro Martinez, feath erweight champion of Panama, makes his Madison Square Gar den debut Friday night in a 10 rounder with Bobby Courchesne of Holyoke, Mass. Neither is ranked in the top 10.
