Four of Llta's friends Debbie Reynold's Fisher, columnist Edith Gwynn, Mrs. Vic Orsatti (wife of an agent) and Mrs. John Payne decided to toss a super colossal luncheon in her honor at the Orsatti home. Film Beauties Babble In some way this glamorous baby shower could have been for any housewife. Only the guests who were babbling about their children and homes just as wom en do the world over were such beauties as Ann Blyth, June Haver, Lana Turner, Benay Ve nuta, Mrs. Dean Martin, Nancy Davis, Mrs. John Wayne and Olga San Juan. But where else but in Holly wood would a baby shower have glamour? Champagne flowed like ginger ale for two hours be fore the "girls" even got around to lunch. An entertainer was hired to play soft piano music. Huge white paper storks decor ated the lawn outside and the ceiling inside. Hubby Acknowledged The guest of honor arrived with a tiny white French poodle decorated with pink and blue ribbons to match her mistress' white silk maternity dress. On the luncheon tables the matches were' decorated with toy babies THE BEST . . SERVICE REPAIR TV -Phonograph Radio - Hi-Fi Sales and Service PH By ALINE MOSBY United Press Correspondent and the napkins were in the shape of monogrammed pink diapers. A huge blown-up pho tograph showed the dark-haired Lita with a baby wearing a su perimposed head of husband Rory Calhoun. "I'm finally having a baby after nine years of marriage," said the beaming Lita. "I've lost two, so this means a lot to Rory and me." Gasped one guest: "This is the most fabulous shower since the one for Kay Spreckels." Gomulka Indicates Shakeup in Poland Warsaw (U.P.) Commun ist party leader Wladyslaw Gomulka has named a new Polish ambassador to Moscow in what is believed the first step in a sweeping post-election shakeup of the administration and party. An official announcement said Tadeusz Gede, a former deputy premier, has been appointed to replace Waclawa Lewikowski as an ambassador to Russia. Gede is neither a Stalinist conservative nor Gomulka lib eral member of the Communist party. However, it was obvious by his appointment that he was acceptable to both Moscow and the new Warsaw leadership. , Dead line Sunday Classified is at noon Saturday: 10 a.m. Monday for Monday: other days 5:30 previous day.
