Joint Installation -Held Monday Night Knights of Pythias and Pyth ian Sisters held a joint installa tion service on Monday evening at the Pythian building. Preced ing the installation two dance numbers were presented by Jackie and Judy Ayres and Judy Alder and Jerry Chenault from the Colleen Hope Dance studio. Mrs. Polly Offutt installed the Sisters' officers, assisted by Mrs. Ruth Dodge, grand senior; Mrs Margaret Davis; grand manager; Mrs. George Thomas, grand secretary; and Mrs. Ed-ward-Bostwick, grand musician. Hugh Welch, installed the officers of the Knights, assisted by grand vice chancellor, Walter Cum mings; grand prelate, Morley Lamp; grand master at arms, LeRoy Cline; grand master of work, Harry Barneburg: and grand secretary, Walter Fergu son. - . Officers installed were chan cellor commander, James O'- Duane; vice chancellor, Tom Davidson; prelate, Olaf - Ohr man; master at arms, Louis Por ter; master of work, Edward Bostwick; secretary, Paul H. Miller; financial secretary, Ora E. G. Meyers; treasurer, Donald Lacy; inner guard, Walter Fer guson; and outer guard, Carl Fichtner. The retiring most excellent chief of the Sisters, Mrs. Mil dred Tolle, and the retiring chancellor commander, Edward Bostwick, expressed their appre ciation for the cooperation and help they had received from the members during the past year. Chancellor Commander O - Duane presented the outgoing chancellor commander and Mrs. Bostwick with gifts in apprecia tion of their work for the lodge, and to Mr. and Mrs. George Bry ant for their work for Boy Scout Troop 16 which is spon sored by the Knights. Mr. Bry ant has been the leader of this troop for the past six years. Miss Bain presented gifts to the in stalling officers from Mrs. Bill Walden who was the elected in stalling officer but was unable to attend. Folding Doors Placed In Nazarene Church; Extra Adult Classes Curtition folding doors have been installed in the auditorium at the First Church of the Naz arene The plastic folding walls make spaces available for extra adult" classes. Folding doors were recently delivered for use in the fireplace room of the churches recreation hall and are to be installed in the next few days. Telephone 2-2111 Court & McAndrews Phoenix Church Sponsors Lessons The First Presbyterian church, Phoenix, will start a series of Bible study lessons for couples with children still in school Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the church. The series is to assist parents to know the Bible so they will be able to share it with their children whether in grammar school or high school. The les sons will continue through April. The course will be taught sy the Rev. Ernest Volkman, pastor of the Phoenix church, and will include question and answer periods, discussions and lectures. Homework will be assigned from the Bible as well as a text. Classes will meet every two weeks at the church in the fire side room from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Interested persons are asked to register for the course with Mr. Volkman. "What is the Bible Where did it come From?" will be the subject discussed at the Tues day meeting.
