Oddfellows - Rebekahs Hold Joint Installation Service Central Point Mr. and Mrs Harold Wilson were installed noble grands of Central Point Oddfellows and Mt. Pitt Re bekah lodges at joint ceremonies January 7 in Central .Point Grange hall. Vice-grands installed for the two lodges are Fred Lofland and Mrs. James Van Der Steen: " recording secretaries, George Smith and Mrs. Frank Glenn; financial secretaries, Francis Marshall and Mrs. Donald Squire, and treasurers, Allon Bohannan and Mrs. Melvin Frick. The installing team was com posed of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thomason, grand marshals; Mrs. Melvin Frick, Clark McDowell, and Mr. and Mrs. Neal Glenn, escorts: George Smith and Mrs. Townsend Club Plans Luncheon Meeting Wednesday Townsend club members plan a luncheon meeting for Wednes day, January 16, at 12:30 p.m. Women who attend should take a covered dish and single men are to take pies. Those who have birthdays in January are especially invited and visitors are also asked to attend. At the last meeting of the club January 9 Mrs. J. R. Burgess, vice-president presided. E n o s Naffziger and A. W. Ellison par ticipated in the program. Plans for a rummage sale were made. A penny march, a piano recital and readings also were conducted. Marshall Weidman, recording and financial secretaries; Mr. Weidman and Mrs. John Kime, treasurers; Mr. and Mrs .Gerald Kime, grand wardens: L. D. Hays and Mrs. Clark McDowell, chaplains; and Robert Suther land and Mrs. Harold Wilson, color bearers. Retiring noble grands are Ells worth J. Robison and Mrs. James Farrar. Gifts were presented the re tiring noble grand and her officers. Introduced by the noble grands grands were the grand herald of Oregon, John B. Robi son; the district deputy grand master, A. C. Smith; district deputy president, Mrs. Frank Glenn, and special district depu ty grand master, Gerald Kime. Refreshments were served by members of Mt. Pitt Rebekah lodge. First Baptist Church To Hold Business Meeting Wednesday The First Baptist church will hold its annual business meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 7:45 p.m. This meeting will decide on the budgets and will fill the of fices for the coming year. Officers must be elected to fill several openings on the board of deacons. Several others will be elected to the board of trus tees. A church clerk and a Sun day school superintendent Will also be chosen by the members The members of various com mittees are plso chosen at the annual meeting. Some of the groups involved will be the Christian Education committee, the missions committee and the social committee. The church will also vote on the current expense and mission ary budgets submitted by the trustees and deacons. Sunday.
