TWO MEDFOHD (OREOOH1 MAIL TRIBUNE Sunday, January t, 1S57 Bradshaw-Bohnert Ceremony Held Tint Christian church hert was the scene of the holiday sea son wedding of Miss Jonnie Doreen Bohnert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bohnert, Route 1, Central Point, to Donald Keith Bradshaw, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. K- Bradshaw, Shedd, Ore. The marriage ceremony took place Thursday, December 27, at eight o'clock In the evening with the Rev. Mr Jean M. Shelley of Cen tral Point Church of Christ of ficiating for the double-ring rites. About 200 guests witnessed the exchange of wedding vows. The church sanctuary was dec orated with baskets of holly and white chrysanthemums, the color theme of the wedding being green and white. Preceding the rites Miss Mary Kessi. Portland, Azalea house sister of the bride from Oregon State college, sang "Whither Thou Goest" and other numbers. Mrs. Henry Huener gardt was accompanist, and played the wedding marches and prelude music. The bride's gown was a Cahill original of white crystal taffeta fashioned with fitted bodice, low waistline and billowing skirt ending in a brush train. Her finger-tip veil of illusion was held by a satin pillbox hat trimmed with lace, sequins and seed pearls and made by the bride. She carried a shower bouquet of garnet roses on a white Bible. The bouquet was caught by Miss Linda Malloroy during the recep tion. Mrs1. James F. Rice, the former Marilyn Bohnert, came from Tri angle, Va., to be her sister's honor attendant She wore a gown of deep emerald green peau de soie, similar in style to the bride's gown but ballerina length. Her pillbox hat matched the gown and she carried a muff of silver lame ornamented with a garland of red chrysanthemums and sprigs of holly. Mrs. Robert Fisher, Medford, was bridesmatron and Miss Sharon Coffman, Central Point, cousin of the bride, and Miss Linda Malloroy, Eagle Point, were bridesmaids. Their frocks and hats of green peau de soie matched those of the honor at tendant, and they carried silver lame muffs with sprays of holly and satin ribbon. Junior bridesmaid was Joan' Bradshaw, Shedd, small sister of the bridegroom. Her floor-length frock of white crystalline was worn with an emerald green sash at the low waistline and she car ried a silver lame muff. Caryn Sue Llsenbee, cousin of the bride from Central Point, was flower girl and Joel David Williams, a cousin from Grants Pass, carried the rings. Caryn wore an emerald green crys talline dress styled like the bridesmaids' gowns and carried a silver basket filled with chrys anthemum petals and decorated with holly. Miss Joanne vonder Hellen, cousin of the bride, and Miss Bev erly Beck, a classmate. Central Point, lighted the candles. They wore matching pale green sheath dresses with cummerbunds and floating panels at the back. Their wrist bouquets were of red vel vet and chrysanthemums. Mr. Bohnert gave his daugh ter in marriage, and Robin Mc Kinley, Gervais, Ore., was best man for the bridegroom. Gary Bradshaw, Shedd, brother of the bridegroom, Robert Fisher, Med ford, David Woolfolk. Eagle Point, and Lt. James F. Rice, USMC, brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers. The reception was held in the church parlors, and decorations of evergreens, mistletoe and holly were in the Christmas spirit. One arrangement, pre pared by the bride herself, in cluded a red and silver replica of an old-fashioned street lamp, a souvenir table decoration from an awards breakfast at the 4H club congress in Chicago which the bride attended. Under the lamp stood the figurines of two carolers made ' for the occasion by Miss Hildred Daly, Portland, Azalea house sister of the bride. The bride's cake was made and decorated by Mrs. C. W. An horn. Central Point, who also arranged the bride's table. The newlyweds cut the first slice of wedding cake using a knife in the bride's silver pattern which was a gift from members of Azalea house to the bride, the retiring president. Cutting and serving the cake were Mrs. Ar nold Bohnert and Mrs. Harry Patricia Snook And Vern Parent Engaged to Wed Central Point Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Snook, 454 Grand ave nue. Central Point, announce the engagement of their daugh ter, Patricia, to Vern Parent, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Par ent, Route 1, Central Point. Miss Snook and Mr. Parent are graduates of Crater High school. Miss Snook attended Southern Oregon college and Mr. Parent attended Oregon State college and Southern Ore gon college. Miss Snook is em ployed at the Cheney Forest Products in Central Point and Mr. Parent is employed by Gulf Red Cedar. The wedding date has been set for early summer. Dunn, aunts of the bride. An other aunt, Mrs. Otto Bohnert, served punch, and coffee was poured by Mrs. Earle Jossy. Serving the bridegroom's cake were Miss Cheryl and Miss Kay Awbrey, Shedd, cousins of the bridegroom. Miss Lucy Gardener and Mrs. Stanley Dew took charge of the guest book. Miss Marlena Coffman and Miss Doris Inman, cousins of the bride, re ceived gifts, assisted by Mrs. Wallace Ragsdale. Glenn Klein, 4H club agent for the county, arranged the re ception music. For the wedding and reception the bride's mother wore a sheath dress of gray sheer wool with all-over design in pastel embroi dery. It was styled with a fitted empire waistline and full skirt pleated in back and worn with pink and black accessories. Her corsage was pink and white carnations. The bridegroom's mother chose a sheath dress of soft pink-beige wool jersey with white feather hat and white ac cessories. Her corsage was pink and white carnations. The bride attended Crater High school before entering Ore gon State college and the bride groom, a graduate of Shedd High school, attended the same college. Both the bride and bridegroom, the matron-of-honor and the best man are all 10-year 4H club members and the sisters were recognized both in Oregon and nationally for their accomplish ments. In addition the brides maids, three ushers, a candle lighter and several who assisted with the wedding are, or have been, 4H members. The bride's parents and the bridegroom's father are 4H club leaders. Here for the wedding were Mrs. Martha Abraham, grand mother of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Abraham and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Awbrey and daughters, all of Shedd; Mrs. By ron Bradshaw; Miss Beverly Bradshaw and Miss Marilyn Bradshaw, all Albany, Ore., Mrs. Dorothea McKinley, Gervais, and Mrs. Johnny Stuckey, Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Mel Williams and sons, Martin and Monte and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Eide, Grants Pass. The newlyweds traveled to southern California for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a turquoise blue suit with black accessories and a corsage of red roses. The couple attended the Tournament of Roses and the OSC-Iowa football game in the Rose Bowl. They will live on the Bohnert ranch. The bride, member of a widely known Jackson county family, has lived near Central Point her entire life. The bridegroom is a member of two pioneer families in the Albany-Corvallis area. The Meloihs left last week for the east coast from where they will go to Europe for an extended stay; Ruth Ann Coggins, William C. Hayes Plan June Rites Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Coggins, 1329 Beekman, Medford, an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Ruth Ann, to William C. Hayes, son of Mrs. Art Miller, Phillipsberg, Kan., and nephew of Mrs. Cari Alexander, 115 Oak street. Central Point. Miss Coggins is a senior at Medford High school. Her en gagement to Mr. Hayes was an nounced in Beaver, Calif., Christ mas day at the home of her aunt and uncle, the Rev. and Mrs. John F. Groth. Mr. Hayes, who attended pub lic schools in Phillipsberg, is employed by McFadden Logging company in Medford. A June wedding is planned. Miss Ruth Ann Coggins Medford Couple To Marry Soon bank in Medford. She it a Sun day school teacher at First Bap- Mr. and Mrs. Garth Deiderich, 436 North Bartlett street, an nounce the engagement and ap proaching marriage of their daughter, Faith, to Roger Cald well, son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Caldwell, 715 Lozier lane. Miss Deiderich was graduated from high school in Chester, Calif., and is employed as a bookkeeper at the U.S. National tist church. Mr. Caldwell was graduated from Medford High school and served six months in the United States Army at Fort Ord, Calif. He is employed by Gilman's Dairy in Medford. The wedding date has been set for February 9. Ceremony Held Here Weds Pair Miss Audrey B. Brist, became the bride of Ronald W. Bartlett in a ceremony held Friday, De cember 21, in the Fireplace room at the First Presbyterian church. Dr. D. Kirkland West officiat ed at the double ring ceremony held at 3 o'clock in the after noon. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Brist, Cedar Falls, Iowa. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard S. Bartlett, Salem, Ore. The bride wore a waltz length gown of white crystallette styl ed on princess lines with por trait neckline, short sleeves, and panels of Schiffle embroidery on the fitted bodice and skirt. Back detail included a bustle. She wore a small matching hat and carried white gardenias with white stephanotis. Mrs. Frank Reich attended the bride. She wdre a blue knit suit and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Max Morris served as best man. Baskets of white chrysanthe mums decorated the room where the ceremony was held. Mrs. H. Werner played two violin selec tions. , Following the ceremony the newlywed couple left on a wed ding trip to Waterloo, Iowa. On the return trip they stopped at Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Vir ginia City, Carson City, Nev ada; and Sacramento, Calif. For her traveling attire the bride wore a white wool knit suit with ' black a;cessories. . ! The bride is a graduate of West Waterloo High school, New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, and the University of Oregon. She is orchestra direc tor of the Medford Public schools. Mr. Bartlett was grad uated from Salem Public schools, Salem, Ore., and Willamette un iversity. He is employed as band director at Hedrick Junior High school in Medford. The newly wed couple are making their home at 335 South Ivy street. Patricia Sether Becomes Bride of John J. Haskin Of interest hera is newt of the wedding of Miss Patricia E. Sether, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor C. Sether, 1007 Queen Anne avenue, to John J. Haskin of Palo Alto, Calif. The bride groom is a son of Mrs. Guy Morgan Haskin, Palo Alto, and the late Mr. Haskin. The marriage ceremony was held December 16 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Grace Luth eran church, Palo Alto, with Pastor Harold J. Brown officiat ing. The bride wore a green suit with white satin hat and white gloves and her corsage was of white orchids. Her attendant was Miss Dolores M. Klassen, Oakland, Calif. The newlyweds spent their honey moon at resorts in northern California and will live in Ingle wood, Calif. The bride, a graduate of Med- ; ford schools and Stanford uni ! versity, has been with the United ; Geological survey in Palo Alto as a secretary.
