Calif, was cited by state police for failure to yield the right of way Friday after her car was involved in an accident on Highway 99 near Talent at 4:46 p.m. According to police, Mrs. Brewold drove from a market parking lot onto the highway in front of a vehicle op- ' erated by George Cummings Hol berton, 20, of 837 West Second St., and the two collided. I 26. ... i Lawrence Edmonds Dies at Home Friday Lawrence E. Edmonds. 64. of route 2, Medford, died at home Friday afternoon. Mr. Edmonds was born In Medford May 2, 1892, and lived in Medford all his life. He for merly owned and operated the L. E. Edmonds Lumber com pany in Medford. and then a lumber firm by the same name in Yreka, Calif. He was a member of the Ash land Elks lodge. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Elcanore Edmonds. Med ford; four daughters. Mrs. L. G. Hamilton, Ashland. Mrs. Henry Holman, Yrcka. Calif., Mrs. Kenneth Hatfield, Medford. and Miss Diane Edmonds, Medford; one son, Harold L. Edmonds. Medford; two brothers. "Arthur Edmonds. Eagle Point, and Clar ence Edmonds, Klamath Falls; one sister. Mrs. Roy Edwards. Ashland: and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Perl Funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Monday. The Ashland Elks lodge will be in charge of ser vices. Internment will be in Mountain View cemetery, Ash land. In 1940 in Cheyenne he went from the Wyoming National Guard into military service. He re- ! ceived his discharge at Camp j White in 1944. Here on Jan. 30. j 1944, he was married to Everal ; Dean, who survives. He worked with the McDon ald Candy company in Medford from 1950 until last July when he was transferred to Albany. Algeria (U.R) A Nationalist rebel threw a hand grenade across the tiled dress ing room of s turkish bath in Oran Friday night, police said i Saturday. The explosion injured seven bathers. Attendants captured the ex tremist when he attempted to run. French forces killed at least 65 Algerian rebels in a quick series of attacks Friday. The rebels took their worst beating I in the Tablat region southeast ' of Algiers, where French forces killed 27 Moslem nationalists.
