Mowatt, claim she was kidnaped by her husband and the other escapee from a mental institu tion at Napa, Calif., was under treatment for a fractured left J arm and fractured ribs. Her .husband, Michael Wieg ner, had a ruptured spleen and a punctured lung. The Mowatts flew to Denver Thursday night and were taken to their daughter's hospital room by a nephew, Ross Ager, who had met them at the airport. There they tearfully greeted their bandage-swathed daughter and planned to return to her room today to "talk over a lot of things we have to discuss." Captured in Stolen Car Jesse Eastman, 35, a Sioux In dian who escaped with Wiegner from the institution Monday, was captured at Brighton, Colo., just north of here, driving a car stolen in Denver earlier in the day. He had avoided capture by fleeing afoot after the police chase that sent the" Wiegners' car crashing through a barricade and over a 15-foot embankment at the end of a dead-end street here. Mrs. Wiegner. told police from her hospital bed Thursday that she was not kidnaped. Instead she said she accompanied her husband and Eastman willingly. "I really love him. I love him very much," she said. Seeks Check on Teamster Union Portland (U.R) The Port land city council voted unani mously yesterly to request a Senate investigating committee to come to Portland to check in to the activities of the Teamsters Union. The approval was attached to a motion introduced by Com missioner Stanley W. Earl, who said afterward that he had not discussed the matter with other commissioners before the coun cil meeting. Operation! Studied The request was directed to Sen. John L. McClellan, chair man of the Senate permanent subcommittee on investigations. Investigators for the McClellan committee have been studying Teamsters Union operations in West Coast cities for nearly a month. Earl told his fellow commis sioners: "The city of Portland in the last eight months has been subjected to a number of charges and countercharges concering various persons within the Team sters' organization and without." He added, "The people of Portland are entitled to a full and complete airing of any and all charges ..."
