Of Violating Order
New York (U.R) The Tri
State Waterfront Commission re
ported Saturday that longshore
men on New York Harbor piers
apparently were working on
schedule and there was no evi
dence of a slowdown that would
violate a Taft-Hartley injunction.
The U.S. Lines said loading of
its luxury liner America was
proceeding on schedule and the
ship would get underway at its
sailing time today.
Shipowners charged earlier
this week that the longshore
men, who returned to work a
week ago under the Taft-Hartley
injunction, had staged slow
downs, delaying ship sailings.
Officials of the International
Longshoremen's Association Ind.
denied any organized slowdown
was under way.
