o Meister-Allen Wedding Held In Ashland Episcopal Church Ashland Trinity Episcopal church was the scene of the wedding of Miss Barbara Jane Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest T. Allen, 710 Pennsyl vania avenue, to Richard Joseph Meister on Sunday, November 18. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Meister, Long Island. N. Y. Seventy guests were present for the double-ring ceremony, read at three o'clock in the after noon by the Rev. John Thomp son. III. Candelabra held white tapers and flower arrangements were of white spider chrysanthemums. The bride, given in marriage fcy her father, wore a gown of white taffeta designed with fit ted bodice and yoke of Batten- , burg lace trimmed with sequins and seed pearls. The skirt end ed in a court train. Her short veil was held by a matching 9 cap and she carried a cascade arrangement of green orchids, stephanotis and snowdrift chrys anthemums. Miss Patricia Cockins, Berk eley, was honor attendant and 3 the bridesmaids were Miss Diane e Meister, sister of the bride groom from Floral Park, Long IsTand; Mtes' Lynn Erwin. Miss Jeanne Eberhart and Miss Donna Dunkinson. The honor attendant wore a frock of ' antique gold velvet fashioned with low waist line and ballerina length skirt. The bridesmaid's frocks were of emerald green velvet in matching design and all the at- afendants wore headbands to match their frocks. They carried cffcade bouquets of bronze chrysanthemums. SHOP 611 Main Phoenix bride, was a miniature bride and flower girl and Philip Riney, cousin of the bride, was a min iature bridegroom and ring- bearer. Garv Riney, cousin of the bride, lighted the candles. Donald Keith Pearce was best man and Willard Barnum, Milton Hansen. Jack Coffin and Eu gene Mosser, Medford, seated the guests. Owen Bristlin sang accompa nied by Miss Edna Daugherty. The reception was held in the church reception room, with Mrs. M. P. Dunn in charge. Mrs. M. A. Riney, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. M. P. Dunn, served the wedding cake. Mrs. Ralph Leach poured coffee and Miss Marlene Dollinger, cousin of the bridegroom, the punch. The serving tables were laid with Italian cut work cloths and the flower arrangements were of bronze chrysanthemums. The couple traveled to Long Beach, Calif., for a honeymoon and will live at the Parkview apartments in Ashland. The bride attended the University of Oregon after graduating from Ashland High school, " and the bridegroom graduated from high school in Portland. He is with Medford Motors. Meeting Planned By Prospect PTA Prospect Prospect Parent Teacher association will meet Tuesday, November 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the school room. A film "Roots of Happiness" will be- shown and Miss Mary Vandenberg of the Southern Oregon Child Guidance clinic in Medford, will speak. Potluck dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. by the mothers of the sixth grade pupils. - Chapter to Plan Christmas Party Bow Bells chapter. Daughters of the British Empire, will hold a meeting Wednesday, Novem ber 28 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. G. W. Allingham, 704 West Tenth street, Medford. Plans for the Christmas party will be made. Mrs. Arnold Bohnert will be moderator. Mrs. Kay Crowell, juvenile officer of Jackson coun ty, Mrs. Carol Ash, dean of girls, Gus Koellner, a parent, Virginia Walters and Dian Nolts, stu dents, are members of the panel. Freshman class mothers will serve refreshments. Artists' Society Schedules Session Southern Oregin Society of Artists will meet at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 28, in Building 218, Camp White. Entertainment is being plan ned by the program committee. Any one interested in art is invited to attend this meeting. Pythian Sisters initiated Mrs. Tommy Davidson last Tuesday evening. She was presented a membership pin and corsage. The report of a recent rum mage sale was given. The annual roll call of members wes held, and a special reobligation cere mony was conducted by candle light. Mrs. Harry Bryant repre sented the Pythian Sisters and Ed Bostwick represented the Knights of Pythias in the cere mony. A report on fruit to be sent to the Pythian Home at Vancou ver, Wash., was given. A con siderable amount of canned fruit will be sent to the home soon. A report of the nominating committee was read, with elec tion of officers to be held at the next regular meeting. Refreshments were served by a committee of men composed of Harry Barneburg, Leroy Cline, Harry Bryant, John Rus sell, Joe Fritsch, Carl Fichtner, William Walden, George Bryant, and Walter Cummings. Meeting Announced Evans Valley Evans Valley Garden Club will meet Wednes day, November 28 at the home of Mrs. Robert Wales, Wimer. The mystery of plant life will be discussed and members are asked to take horticultural speci mens for exchange.
