27 Employees Disciplined In State Department Work

In Widow's Slaying

Pieper said today authorities
were without suspects in the
hatchet-slaying of attractive 41-year-old
Sewickley Twp. widow
Helen Zubryd.
Elmer Skiles Jr., 36 and James
Skiles, 23, questioned day-long

the brutal murder, were released

proved they had nothing to do
with the killing," Pieper said.
The brothers lived about 100
yards from Mrs. Zubryd's home.
Mrs. Zubryd's body, a hatchet
imbedded in her forehead, was
found in the basement of her
home Tuesday night by her 8-
year-old son, Charles. The boy
made the grisly discovery when
he returned from a 43-minute
visit at the home of a neighbor.
Authorities said she had hot been
sexually attacked.
' Mrs. Zubryd lived alone-with
her son since the death of l?er
husband a year ago. She had
been employed as a domestic in
neighboring Edgcwood and Se
wickley homes.

according to Prof. Charlotte M.
Young of the Cornell University
school of nutrition.
She said, however, that the
tritional aspects of obesity are
secondary to its economic so

dies: " (1) Better mental health facili
ties to' correct defects that lead
to compulsive eating; (2) educa
tion in using leisure time to re
duce boredom, especially in middle-aged
women: (3) re-education
of eating patterns; (4) more
physical activities for all ages.
