Your dentist is concerned about the high rate of occurrence of dental decay and the mounting accumulation of dental defects. In fact, if all persons need ing dental service were to seek it, dentists could care for only a fifth of the needs. Corrective service alone cannot .meet the need. A wider use of pre ventive measures is the most realistic and economic approach. For many years, dentists have been filling cavities, but until recently little could be accomplished on a widespread basis to prevent them. Now, based upon years of investigation by research authorities, your dentist recommends fluoridation. Just as your physician recommends nourishing foods for your child's growth and development, your dentist recommends drinking water that contains fluoride, one of the essential requirements for building decay-resistant teeth. The Medford Water Commission estimates the cost of installing equip ment plus the annual maintenance costs to be under 10c per water service per month and it means 60-65 per cent less tooth decay. It is the MOST INEXPENSIVE of ALL PRACTICAL PUBLIC HEALTH MEAS URES ... a single dental repair bill actually equals YEARS OF PRO-, TECTION for EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY. That's really CHEAP, EFFECTIVE INSURANCE! NOVEMBER 6 VOTE... llDIDiflES Water Fluoridation for Dental Health Paid Adv. Better Health Committee. Mrs. E. W. Sickels, Chairman; Dewey Wilson.
