TWO MEDFOHD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Each fall Medford Junior Service league invites a small group of young women to be come members of the organization, and they are introduced at a Founders' day luncheon. Medford Junior Service league is one of the city's most active organizations, both from a civic and a social standpoint, and it's major project is maintenance of a kinder garten for hard-of-hearing children. SOC Faculty Members Wed In Roseburg Ashland Miss Flora JaneJ Schuster and Dr. Elliott Bolte MacCracken, both on the facul ty of Southern Oregon college, were married October 6 in a ceremony held at St. George's Episcopal church, Roseburg. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Alfred S. Tyson. The newlyweds made a trip to the Oregon coast and are living at 262 Hargadine street in Ashland. For the wedding the bride wore a gown of powder blue lace with full skirt and three-quarter length sleeves. She carried white carnations on her mother's white prayer book. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mac Cracken, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom from Roseburg, attended the couple. Mrs. MacCracken wore a toast-colored wool sheath dress and corsage of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums. Candles and bouquets of autumn leaves decorated the church altar. A family party at the Gordon MacCracken home followed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Schuster who lived in Corvallis for 35 years. The bridegroom's family the late Dr. and Mrs. Gordon MacCracken lived in Ashland for 40 years. The bride, a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, and of Mortar Board, received her bachelor's and master's degree from Ore gon State college and instructs in secretarial science. Dr. Mac Cracken holds a bachelor's de gree from Oregon State college, a master's degree from Columbia university and his doctorate from Standford university. He is an associate professor of science at SOC. U Couple Weds At Ceremony In Kansas From Topeka, Kan., comes news of the wedding of Miss Patricia Lee Finnie and Ken neth Roger Wright at St. John's Lutheran church Friday, October 5. The Rev. J. G. Jac obson officiated at the double ring ceremony, held at 7:30 o'clock in the evening. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. Fin nie of Topeka. Mr. Wright is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Wright, 2345 Finley lane, Medford Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a ballerina length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle. The fitted bodice was styled with a scoop neckline edged in deep scallops and the full skirt was fashioned with a gathered panel of lace in the front and back which was form ed with a gathered panel of lace and tulle. A cap of lace and seed pearls held her tulle veil and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss Karen Chrisienson was maid of honor for her cousin and she wore a ballerina length gown of pink net over taffeta. Her bouquet was of yellow car nations. Thomas Kennelos, Syracuse, N. Y., was best man. G. G. Grefe, organist, play ed the nuptial music and accom panied Mrs. Dale Palmer, cou sin of the bride, who sang. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Finnie wore a Dior blue dress with dusty pink accessor ies and a corsage of pink roses. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the church parlor. Mr. Wright, an airman in the United States Air Force, is sta tioned at Forbes Air Force Base, Kan. The best man, also in the Air Force, is a friend of the bridegroom. Mr. Wright is a graduate of Medford High school and joined the service in 1954. The newlywed couple are ma king their home at 302 The Drive, Topeka. Howard-Haynes Ceremony Held At Bride's Home Talent Miss Lyda E. Haynes became the bride of H. J. How ard, Ashland, in a ceremony held Friday, .October 5, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Robertson in Talent at 8 o'clock in the eve ning. The Rev. Ed Harmon offi ciated at the candlelight cere mony attended by friends and relatives. Given in marriage by her uncle, I. F. Koenig of Bakers field, Calif., the bride wore a gold crystaline ballerina length dress with brown accessories. Her headdress was of gold lace and trimmed in lilies of the valley and small white roses. She carried a bouquet of golden spider chrysanthemums. Mrs. James E. Smith was matron of honor for her sister. She wore a dress of changeable rose colored taffeta and carried bronze chrysanthemums. H. W. McCarley of Ashland served as best man. The house was decorated with autumn flowers. Tall gold light ed candles were on the fire place. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Robertson wore a blue knit suit with pink rose corsage. Adams. 425 Man zanita street, in a ceremony held Sunday, October 14, at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon at the bride's home. The Rev. Thomas McCamant officiated at the ceremony attended by close fri ends and relatives. Mrs. Gardn er is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Hardin of Clovis, New M"xico. Mr. Adams is the son of Mrs. Alva Warner. For the wedding the bride wore a white and gold dress ac cented with white and pink car nations. Mrs. Cody Stewart, Fortuna, Calif., was matron of honor for her mother. She wore a blue suit with red and white carnations. Raymond Adams served as best man for his brother. Following the ceremony a reception was given by the Ray mond Adams'. After a wedding trip to Fortuna and Anderson Calif, the couple will make their home at 129 Kenwood drive. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Alax Radke and daughter. Concord, Calif. The bride is a waitress at Kim's Restaurant. Mr. Adams is employed by Cascade Wood products as a sawyer. Shower Is. Given At Corliss Home Mrs. James A. Johnson of 383 O'Gara street, was honored with an anticipation shower Tuesday, October 16, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Corliss, 938 South Hoily street. Perry Johnson officiated at the 10:30 o'clock morning ceremony at tended by 25 friends and rela tives.
