Dr. Ray L. Casterline, a for mer board member of the asso ciation, presided as chairman at the Friday afternoon meeting. Dr. Ancel Keys, of the Mayo Clinic, Dr. David P. Barr, of the Cornell medical college in New York City, and Dr. Hans Hecht, of the University of Utah medi cal school in Salt Lake City, presented reports of recent developments. , Dr. Oscar Heyerman, newly elected member of the board of directors of the association, and Dr. M. L. Vorhies, also attended the meeting. , One factor most thoroughly stressed by visiting speakers was the part relatively high fat content of diets common to most Americans plays in coronary heart disease. They believed that a diet low in fat is one of the most important factors in pre venting and controling the dis ease.
